NBR: My temp is 95.8??

I woke up feeling pretty crappy this morning, so I decided to take my temperature. I checked on one thermometer, and it said 95.8. That seemed ridiculous to me, so I checked on a second thermometer that read 95.9.

Really? Normally, I am 97.2. This seems so weird to me, I didn't even know temperatures could get that low... Any ideas?

    No ideas - but DS has a sinus infection/cold and the last few days his temp has been all over the place. His temp is usually 98.6 or around there. On Friday his temp was in the 97's all day and at night it dropped to 96.9 so I called the on call nurse and she said to wrap him in warm blankets out of the dryer to keep his temp up and to dress his warmer on Sat. So I did that. It worked. His temp went back up by morning and I dressed him warmer AND kept the house warmer throughout the day. His temp was about 99.9 all day, which I expected since he has the infection and cold. Well, last night I dressed him very warmly - A cotton footed sleeper and a fleece sleepsack over top. I also left the house at 72 instead of the regular 68 that we usually let it go down to at night. At 4am he woke up for a feeding so I checked his temp and it was 96.7. The on call nurse the night before had said if it got down to 96.5 to take him to the ER.

    Anyways, I am waiting for a call back from a nurse at my pedi and I'm probably taking him in today. I am pretty worried, but at the same time I have NO idea what could cause his temp to drop or for him to not be able to regulate his body temp.

    Sorry no answers - we are in the same boat, though!
