Preschool is more than learning to count & colors! If money is not an object, then don't let your child miss out on the preschool experience - it will get her ready for Kindergarten and her future learning in SO many ways!
Seriously - I just joined today because reading this post is addicting! I cannot stay away - its been 2 hours and I am still reading! I really need to get back to my adult duties, but I just had to reply.
I had a child at 18, and was very immature then, but not THIS immature - at least I knew NOT to get married so young and to have another baby right away! I accepted my responsibility and grew up fast for my child!
You really need to slow down and think about your future - you are too young for all this. I know you don't see it that way, but you are!! That is also why you keep defending yourself here - stop replying - just stop!
In pre-school you learn abc's and numbers. And you can paint and do crafts also, I can do all of that here with her. Money is not the issue, it is just I don't see why she needs pre-school to learn that stuff.
Our daughter was planned, our next baby will be planned, and our wedding will be planned. We love each other and want to get married. I am mature for not having a deadbeat father for my child and to find someone to have kids with and get married to. I am not immature for this decision to have kids and get married at a younger age. If anything, it is smart to do that. I am not too young to get married or have kids, so how bout you just go back to lurking since it is only your first few hours here. I defend myself because I am not gonna let people talk sh!t about me.
Planning children before marriage...smart choice there! And why do you care what people say - people you don't even know! I know why....it is because you are immature and cannot take other people's opinions as just their opinions. You have brought this all upon yourself - sad, very sad.
Actually my son needed all of that except the lunch box because I paid extra for him to go to a school that provided lunch and snacks. He also needed scissors, marble notebooks, and the parents were required to send in boxes of tissues and hand sanitizer. I paid an activity fee for things like construction paper, markers, glitter, google eyes, popsicle sticks and other craft items.
So you are saying your son needed paper, a ruler, scissors, notebooks and glue at the age of 3? Um, not happening. This is way my child will not be going to pre-school.
3 year olds cant draw, color, learn to write and trace letter, use safety scissors while supervised by licensed adults and then use non toxic glue to glue said things they cut out? Why not?
Oh sweetie you really are stupid aren't you. I said that you had talked about putting your wedding plans on hold, so you could stupidly get KU...Not putting a hold on your TTC plans....which honestly you would be less stupid if you put your TTC plans on hold to plan your wedding, not the other way around...Now you are just making yourself look even dumber, way to go.
I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT PUTTING MY WEDDING OR THE PLANS FOR MY WEDDING ON HOLD! Getting pregnant would not be stupid.
And again sweatpea, no of course you never said you were too young or too childish....you just are and won't admit it. That is every one on this board's opinion, even if you do not believe it, it doesn't make it less true. And I do make sense, I think the problem is you are too illiterate (do you know what that even means?) to understand what I am writing to you.
Not everyone. I have plenty of PM's coming in saying to ignore your biitchiness and to just keep reporting your posts. I also have people saying for me to stay because they do like me (not just to see my posts). I won't admit that I am too young and too childish because it isn't true.
And yes Dear, I do know that the 11th month is November. But what I dont understand is that people can't stay up for hours and hours (after a 10:30am ceremony) to enjoy a reception, but they can in March? How is a few months later going to change them staying up? If you are concerned about the 2.5 hour drive, you do realize that you can rent halls and stuff (since you have D@mn good money) and have it near the ceremony site? I mean I got married 2.5 hours away from my home, and had the reception in the same place...it was not that hard! But we also had saved money since we weren't planning to get pregnant before the wedding.
In March the wedding would have been later in the day. We have money for the wedding and a baby, so your advice sucks.
Wow.. Good find. And I stand by my last judgmental statement that if you cant afford to pay for a 14 person buffet reception at Golden Corral itd be better to wait to have another kid... I mean that's only 140 bucks... Youd spend that much in diapers and formula per month with an infant (if not more). Oh to be 19 and naive again...
ETA: wow. You keep reading and THAT train wreck looks a LOT like the one we had here too. I suggest a tall order of BGP in general here.
Again, where does it say that I couldn't afford it? I was asking who should pay. And plans do change for weddings.
No dear plans do not change for a wedding. I had plans for my wedding and for the entire time I planned it, the entire thing remained the same. The only thing I changed was things like center pieces. I never dreamed of thinking I would have a huge wedding, and then decide to go to a small chapel ceremony with a reception at the Golden Corral.
Wow you are a piece of work, and you are proving how much of an adult you are not. You went from wanting this huge wedding and waiting on the wedding all so you can have another child, to having a very small wedding and doing what with TTC? Are you planning on being pregnant during your wedding? I know alot of people who got married while pregnant, but I assure you 9 out of 10 of them did not PLAN to be pregnant while getting married. You're plans do flip flop around don't they and it is funny how they changed within like a weeks time.
Well she can't drink anyways... Might as well sport a baby bump into the GC!
If I am not pregnant I will be drinking at my wedding reception in March and probably at home after the wedding, oh and on our honeymoon.
Underage drinking? ZOMG.
My DF is 22. He is allowed to buy alcohol. As long as I drink when I am with him, I can't get in trouble for underage drinking in public. Hell, a few months ago we went to D and B's and I had 2 snow cones (it is an alcoholic drink). No one said anything because they can't do anything about it.
Ok I couldnt stay away forever...
In the last train wreck YF was 23. Now he is 22? Well which is it?
And you arent married. You were drinking underage. Just because you are engaged doesnt count for crap. The LAW isnt if you are "engaged" to someone over 21 you can drink, it's if youre "married" to someone over 21. And you werent, so technically you were drinking underage and could have gotten arrested had anyone caught on. And yes, anyone in that building could have done something about it had they wanted to.

We will be going to Florida. And I will be drinking there. No one says I can't drink if I don't have my kid/kids with me and my DF and I go out (which is practically never because we aren't the go out type) and no one says I can't drink in my own home.
Um, you better check your laws, sweetie. They can card you in Florida and deny serving you. Just because you can drink with your husband in South Carolina doesn't mean Florida gives a shiit. Being with your young looking husband isn't going to keep you from getting carded. DH and I are married, and we both get carded. Wedding rings aren't passes for everything, honey. Bars card because they never know when officials are watching - they risk losing their liquor license by not carding and getting caught. No one gives a rat's azz that you're with your husband so you should be allowed to drink.
And actually, underage drinking - as defined by the laws of the state - is underage drinking no matter where it happens: in your home, at a bar, in public.
Wow, you clearly don't know how to read. I do not live in SC. They are not going to card me in a restaurant if my husband orders it for me. We won't be going to a bar. It's underage drinking but not illegal.
KM's if your husband buys a drink and he gives it to you, the server has the RIGHT to take your drink away and ask you to leave. I know the rules I am ServSafe Alcohol trained. At any point in time you can be refused a drink for underage drinking.
As well as that when you go to another state with you ID the server can refuse you alcohol for not having an out of state ID. This is completely legal to do as well.
This was my vent in the Flame-Free thread the other day. If you can't afford spending money on stuff like this, you have no business having children. No one expects you to put your kid in $20,000 a year preschool or dress them in nothing but Zutano and Ralph Lauren. But come on. Kids like this bum me about about the future of this country. Selfish, immature, and lacking on common sense.
Seeing how I have money and can provide and take car of 2 children and a family, plus a wedding...I do not go in the catergory for your flame free post. We can afford it. My child is not going to preschool because I can teach her at home what they teach her there. My kid has one ralph lauren button up shirt (it was a hand me down from her godmother). How am I selfish and immature? How do I lack common sense?
please send her to preschool
I will not be sending my child to preschool.
Great, so she'll be an unsocialized entitled twit. Awesome. We need more of those.
My mother is a private preschool teacher and director.
You're just insulting to teachers everywhere if you think all children learn from the ages of 0-5 is colors and shapes.
Thank you for saying my baby is a twit, how kind and mature of you, NOT. You are a complete BIITCH and not sane if you think a baby or a toddler can be a twit, and would call them that! My child will socialize, but not at pre-school. She has friends to play with. She doesn't need pre-school to teach her the alphabet.
I really could careless about what your mother does for a living.
And did I say 0-5? No, a 3 yr old in pre-school learns shapes, abc's, numbers, colors, arts and crafts. But I can teach her all that myself. She will be starting school in Kindergarden, not pre-school.
Actually my son needed all of that except the lunch box because I paid extra for him to go to a school that provided lunch and snacks. pretty sure underage drinking is still illegal in the United states. Just because your DF is 22 he can still get in trouble for providing alcohol to a minor and you can get in trouble for MIP. Did it ever occur to you that the servers at D&B arent following state laws checking ID's and serving alcohol? It happens.
Maybe you should read up on laws because it is not illegal in OHIO. He and I can not get in trouble at all. They check I.D.'s but when our friend goes and gets everyone's drink, he gets carded, not everyone. So they card, just not everyone.
again, the law only applies if youre married, not engaged. And as a bartender, screw you. I could lose my job for people pulling crap like this. If someone had to buy it for you, it's illegal.

Oh my. Kaydensmommy, I think it is your very defensive attitude that gets everyone going. I know you said that you were going to do a sit down dinner now for your "reception" in November, but I would like to suggest Cici's Pizza buffet. Do you have them where you live? It's only $4.99 a person. That way you can save money for your wedding, second reception, and baby #s 1 and (possibly) 2, and still pay for the meal. There has to be a reason why you asked if you should pay in the first place, so you clearly wanted to save money.
We do not need to save money. Second Cici's is out of business in our state and has been for a long time. No I thought that it was right to pay for them but wanted to get other people's opinons since I have heard so many people not paying for their guests.
I have NEVER heard or seen anyone suggest that someone should pay for their own food when going out to eat after a wedding. Especially when you are asking them to make an over 2 hour trip to watch you get married. I don't believe for a second GC is $25 a person and if it is, you are crazy for going there.
That is what they said, I didn't mention a wedding at all. Also, I guess you don't know many people because at lot of people I have talked to have done it.
That's because your friends are probably all immature teenagers.
Or they actually went to college and don't want to play high school games with her anymore.
Let's see I went to college also.
Are you a genius and graduated from college in a year or did you do the SMART thing and drop out to have babies?
I was in college f classes for four years, did not drop out. I am an LPN.
We are definately not broke one bit. If e wanted we could live in a mansion, but we don't because I do not want to.
Woooooooow.
They live in a trailer park with a sex offender next door, because it's WAAAAY better than a mansion. Pshh.
You guys, it is not nice to make fun. I mean I would much rather live in a tiny trailer, apartment, townhouse or wherever then in a mansion! You did not know she was a millionaire and could afford a mansion??? But somehow cannot afford to buy her guests dinner at GC? I would choose to not live in a mansion too...way to much work for my maid to clean I think. Plus the main reason she won't live in a mansion is because she has to save for her GC wedding buffet dinner.
I am not a millionaire. It is not a million dollars to live in the mansions we have in Ohio. We can afford to buy them dinner d@mn. Drop it.
Oh my. Kaydensmommy, I think it is your very defensive attitude that gets everyone going. So is Golden Corral any good? I've never been to one, but we do have one here. Is it worth trying?
If you like senior citizens sneezing, coughing and dripping snot onto your chicken fried steak and green beans from a can, yep it's yummy. If not, I'd say skip it! I once got the pleasure of going to one with a church group and pretended I had already eaten once I saw what was offered. But I'm not a fan of buffets in general. But that's just me!
"Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength."
Buwhahahahah!! I can't wait to hear how this goes down. Do you even research anything before you come up with these ridiculous answers?
So if someone from the Netherlands comes here and smokes pot in front of a cop, he can say "no, it's cool officer! I have a Netherlands ID! It's legal there." Idiot.
That is a different country. Totally different from different states. Dumba$$.
It takes around one year to get your prerequisites to be accepted into an LPN program, because there aren't that many. Usually just Anatomy & Physiology I&II. The LPN program is not a two year program, it usually takes around a year. The RN program takes two years. So why were you in college for four years?

Kaydensmommy - you say you are going to keep defending yourself because you don't want people talking sh%t about you. STOP GIVING THEM THINGS TO TALK ABOUT! You are an absolute moron. Really. All you do is just dig the whole deeper. Your replies demonstrate that you are too dim witted to argue with these ladies. If you had any sense, you'd walk away from a fight you cannot win!
This was all funny to me at first, now I just feel bad for Kayden and your future children. What the heck will you teach them in your homemade pre-school. BTW pre-school is so much more than numbers and letters. Do you know what socialization is???? Oh wait, probably not your behavior makes that clear.

NOOOOOOO!
For the love of God and all that is good, pure and holy, PLEEEEAAAASSEE do not home school your children. There is already enough dumb in the world.
But school expenses are a real budget breaker, a pack of pencils is what a whole dollar. Then there is looseleaf paper, glue sticks, a ruler, a pouch to put it all in. She also would have to get a back pack and lunch box, maybe a new pair of shoes. She has a wedding and a pretty princess reception to plan, she can't be bothered with that mess!
I am sure in preschool they don't use any of that.
Wow...learn a little. I spent about $40 or so when my son started preschool, they do use a lot of what was mentioned above. In kindergarten, one year later it is even more. If that is going to break your bank in your non mansion house, perhaps you should reconsider having another child.
Maybe your preschool does but ours doesn't. She will be going to Kindergarden, where they do use those things.

I was in college f classes for four years, did not drop out. I am an LPN.
How did you take 4 years of college classes if your 19 years old?
I bet what happened is that when she called GC, she probably told them that it was for a wedding. They probably jacked the price because of that. Non-Klassy places do sh!t like that.
I think the whole thing sounds like a gift grab. Why else would you put your family through 2 receptions? It's greedy if you ask me.
We don't care about the gifts. We do not want our friends to come to the ceremony. They do not need to get us a gift to come to the reception in March.
Hmmmm are you ashamed of your wedding ceremony? What person would not want their friends to be at their ceremony? At my wedding, I invited all of my family and friends...because I was proud to marry my husband!
I am proud to marry my fiance also, but we want it to be private, just for family.
Yes that shows pride...or maybe you are ashamed and want it to be private because you are ashamed of your teenage marriage and pregnancy.
Why would I be ashamed when we are planning it all? I am not ashamed of anything. We just feel like it should be for family only. GTFOI.
We will be going to Florida. And I will be drinking there. No one says I can't drink if I don't have my kid/kids with me and my DF and I go out (which is practically never because we aren't the go out type) and no one says I can't drink in my own home.

Right an LPN is an associates degree and RN is a BS degree.
1 of 2 things happened, you got your GED, went to a 2 year junior or technical college and it took you 4 years to get your degree.
OR
Your Junior and Senior years of highschool you were part of a vocation learning program and then went to a junior or technical college for 2 years.
Either way, it may have taken you 4 years but you do not have a 4 year degree.
OR she's lying.

Oh great, she is going to teach her child to be as selfish, immature and a bit crazy just like her. That is the last thing your child needs, to be home schooled by you. Although I have nothing against home schooling, I believe it should be done by mothers who have something called common sense. Also, there are things about allowing children to have something called friends in a social setting like a school. Her only friend should not be you...that is a scary thought.
And OMG you are right! You are well off, you have a hand me down ralph lauren shirt! Prove us wrong, you do make d@mn good money!
Did I say home school??? NO. I said no preschool. I have common sense, unlike you.
Oh sweetie why don't you look up what common sense means.
Oh you probably don't know how. Ok here is one small favor for you
Common sense: exhibiting native good judgment; "arrive home at a reasonable hour"; "commonsense scholarship on the foibles of a genius"; "unlearned and commonsensical countryfolk were capable of solving problems that beset the more sophisticated"
Which would also mean, NOT getting pregnant on purpose with number 2 while still a teenager, getting married while still NOT legally able to even drink at said wedding, not wanting to pay for your guests at a reception at GC, homeschooling your child during preschool because you think all they learn is shapes and colors during preschool. (and yes you did use the word home school). I sent both of my kids to preschool because I do have common sense. I did not have a child while in high school, and I finished college. So please again tell me I have no common sense.
I can get married whenever I feel like. Have kids whenever I feel like. I AM PAYING FOR MY GUESTS AT THE LUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET THE STICK OUT OF YOUR A$$! No, I didn't use the word 'home school'. I said my child was not going to pre-school, that is all I said. Nothing about home-schooling her. I didn't have a child, or get pregnant in high school either. I finished college too, yay for you! I am not a teenager, I am a mature adult, so I will have kids and get married when I feel it is right. So tell me how I don't any common sense?
Not everyone. I have plenty of PM's coming in saying to ignore
your biitchiness and to just keep reporting your posts. I also have
people saying for me to stay because they do like me (not just to see my
posts). I won't admit that I am too young and too childish because it

I was in college f classes for four years, did not drop out. I am an LPN.
Or you took classes in HS and then went to trade school.
I don't even think LPN is any degree. I am pretty it's only a certificate. I know out here RN is associates, RN-BSN is a baccalaureate program, and they move forward.

Holy cow guys! 19......nineTEEN isn't a teenager? Alert the press...alert the news!
Just because we want kids when we are young doesn't mean it is bad. No people just need to not make posts about people.
Your boyfriend or friends can not order drinks for you. You are drinking underage when this happens and it is illegal.
Nope, must be outdated cause it isn't illegal.
Better go to the police station and ask them then. Just to make sure. Better yet....write a letter to your local government and tell them how outdated their laws and information is. We don't want to deny any other teens from their drinking rights. I would honestly write a letter......having misinformation out that is horrible.
Wow..
In the post you are talking about I said he was 22 about to be 23, just as I am 19, about to be 20. Actually if you are living together then it counts. No, they really can't.
Re: ohmygod Re: Kaydensmommy
bahahaha! sounds about right :-)
Planning children before marriage...smart choice there! And why do you care what people say - people you don't even know! I know why....it is because you are immature and cannot take other people's opinions as just their opinions. You have brought this all upon yourself - sad, very sad.
Ok I couldnt stay away forever...

My 3 year old nephew can read and write. He has all that stuff and books. Crazy, right?

again, the law only applies if youre married, not engaged. And as a bartender, screw you. I could lose my job for people pulling crap like this. If someone had to buy it for you, it's illegal.
I was in college f classes for four years, did not drop out. I am an LPN.
I am not a millionaire. It is not a million dollars to live in the mansions we have in Ohio. We can afford to buy them dinner d@mn. Drop it.
Or you took classes in HS and then went to trade school.

ETA: You started college classes when you were 15?

Why didnt you go for RN? LPN is lower than a RN. Just curious
I just caught up on this thread after taking care of some adult bill paying business (with d@mn good money)
Maybe your preschool does but ours doesn't. She will be going to Kindergarden, where they do use those things.
How did you take 4 years of college classes if your 19 years old?
Why would I be ashamed when we are planning it all? I am not ashamed of anything. We just feel like it should be for family only. GTFOI.

If you say so. And it is snow cones, not snow balls.
Please find that link because that was not me who said that. I have been planning for my wedding all this time and have never stopped. I said WE WANTED TO GET MARRIED ON 11/11/11 WAY BEFORE AND THEN MADE IT TO MARCH INSTEAD BECAUSE THAT WAS BETTER FOR EVERYONE, BUT THEN DECIDED NO, WE WANT 11/11/11 SO WE ARE DOING IT THEN. i NEVER SAID WE WERE TAKING A BREAK FROM THE WEDDING. IT WAS IN MARCH FOR A WHILE BUT THEN WE DECIDED WE WANT IT TO BE ON 11/11/11. tHERE WAS NO PLAN OF POSTPONING IT EVER!

JEEEEZ get it right....SNOW CONE is a VERY alcoholic drink!!!!
It's definitely, not definately. And for real? Youre really going to say that a 22 and 19 year old that want to throw a party at Golden Coral as a reception have the kind of money that would allow them to sport a mansion yet they dont?
Ok. Im REALLY starting to think this is MUD/ AE that is just REALLY good at making it sound real! No WAY this is real. No way.
