Babies: 3 - 6 Months

A completely random and weird question.

I've been thinking long and hard about this topic.

If you don't drink milk (not because you can't, but simply because you don't like it), what do you drink with your cookies and/or cake?  I can't eat cookies and/or cake without having a tall glass of milk to wash it down with.

That is all.

Re: A completely random and weird question.

  • Usually coke, or something of that nature.
  • Loading the player...
  • Water. It's gross..but I like cookies and cake too much to stop eating those just because I can't drink milk.
  • I like milk, but I don't drink it with cake or cookies (unless I'm dunking). I like a glass of Ice cold water with mine.

  • I hate milk.

I use ice cream to wash down my cookies or cake.

  • I miss milk....and ice cream....Sad

I WANT MILK!!! DS can't tolerate it though... I miss my cereal... we have brownies in the kitchen, brownies and water sucks. I had a half a glass two days ago and it was gas city up in this mug.

  • I am also curious.  Especially with oreos.  I tried eating oreos with water once (not dunking* them in it, just drinking it) and it made the oreos not nearly as good.

Some of you know that I drink milk like it's going out of style.  Milk=win.

Edited because dunking and funking are probably two different things.

Me too!  Everyone thinks I'm weird, but water is the best after a really sweet piece of cake or dessert.

  • I dont understand how people can have cake and brownies WITHOUT milk- I too am in the milk love corner..

  • nope gotta have milk. If I cant have it I wont eat the others. I cant do water or soda with something like that.
  • Water, juice, or soda - that's pretty much what I drink. I absolutely detest milk unless it's been used in cooking/baking or it's in my cereal.

Obviously I don't dunk my cookies in my drink of choice. Oreos should never be dunked but taken apart, cookie with the least amount of cream eaten first, nibble the cookie part around the cream on the other half, and then finally eat the rest of it. But that's just my opinion.

DH, on the other hand, MUST have milk and oreos. And he has been known to take chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies, crumble them up and poor milk over them.... and then eat them like that.

  • vanilla almond milk; so yummy (esp with a shot of kahlua)

  • Water or sparkling water.  Milk makes me want to barf.. just the thought of drinking it.. shudder!

I only drink water, sparkling water, coffee, and wine.

ETA: and tea... or iced chai with soy milk.

  • Lactose free milk is my best friend, even before DS. Most of the time I don't feel the need to wash down cookies or cake, but it could be water, hot cocoa, tea, coffee. Ummm, coffee....Coffee

  • I am not a huge cake fan but love cupcakes. I cannot explain it.

I usually drink room temp water with most meals or snacks, but sometimes I will have a Green Goodness (Bolthouse Farms drink)

Otherwise, I am pretty obsessed with Dr. Pepper.

lol... I can't help it... Milk is evil unless it's cereal. Oreos are ruined by milk.

  • The only reason I buy milk is to eat with cookies, brownies, etc.  Anything else would make it seem incomplete.

I actually take them apart, scrape off the cream with my teeth and sometimes just forget about the cookie part. Confused

This is what I used to do... I had an aversion to chocolate for a long time. I'm glad that's over... now I let them float in the milk, once they start to sink, I grab and devour.

  • Coffee, obviously. We're Finnish and pretty much just eat dessert so we can have another cup.

I'm surprised nobody else has said that, it seems soooo weird to not have coffee, in fact, I probably wouldn't eat cake without it. Nope. I wouldn't.

  • I used to make an exception for milk and just put a crap load of chocolate syrup in it and make it chocolate milk... now since pregnancy I can't get enough milk!

The only time I can have coffee with cake is if I'm eating molten lava chocolate cake.  Otherwise it's milk.

Also, we usually have cake after dinner.  If I drink coffee after dinner, I'm up until all hours, get no sleep and end up having coffee and cake for breakfast to wake me up.

So funny... we love coffee with our dessert! When DH and I read the "girl with the dragon tattoo" series the one thing we both noticed was how much coffee they drank. That and how much they liked IKEA :P

  • I love, love, love me some milk. My parents don't, they always have ores at their house but no milk. I can never understand that conundrum! ;) I guess I can't really talk though, I hate jelly and eat my peanut butter sandwiches plain.
