NBR: Horrible NKOTB experience

Hey ladies,

I hope you read my good news below but I also wanted to update about an f-ed up experience at New Kids on the Block this past weekend.

Short version: Basically, I was attacked by a drunk woman.

Long version: My very drunk sister fell about 4 feet and busted her lip open.  Instead of being taken in an ambulance to the hospital to get stitches, her cheap @$$ husband wanted me to drive her to the hospital.  We rode to the concert with 3 other girls and after my sister's fall, of course, I couldn't find them.  So I took her outside to wait for my DH to pick us up and take us to the hospital.  As we walked out of the arena, a drunk woman approached us and asked if I had a cigarette.  I told her, "No, we don't smoke."  She went away.  Then my sister got on the phone with her DH and started screaming at him like a lunatic.  So the cigarette woman came back over and told me to "get that crazy biotch to shut the f up."  The drunk woman repeated this several times in my face.  Meanwhile, I was on the phone with DH and he was trying to find a place to park so we could meet him.  The woman took a swing at my sister and missed and I started screaming at her to "get away and leave us the f alone."  She then took a swing at me and scratched my face grabbed me by the arm and hair and threw me to the ground.  The police pulled her off of me and put her in handcuffs.  I was stunned!  DH finally found us and the police made me sign a ticket and I have to go to court on friday.  I can't believe this happened.  I didn't even get to hit her back.  What a crazy, white-trash, drunk woman.  I am so worried that this will make us look bad to the adoption agency, but DH says that I am not going to be in trouble and that since the other woman attacked me, she will be in trouble.  I am so angry that this horrible experience is tainting my good news about finally being chosen by a birthmom.

Thanks for reading this and letting me vent!

  • Wow. Did you get to see most of the concert at least?

  • That's horrible!  I will say I'm so jealous you got to go to the concert. :)

  • I'm sorry that you didn't get to enjoy the concert the way you should have!  And what a B!tch!  I can't image that this would impact your adoption since it sounds to me like you are going to court to testify against her- not because you did anything wrong.  And how can that count against you???

GL, let us know how it goes!

  • No, we only go to see Natasha Bettingfield (not sure about the spelling) and about 5 songs before my sister fell and the nightmare began.  Ironically, right before she fell I was thinking how awesome the concert was.
  • OMG

i have no patience for messy drunks
