My fat pants are tight

This is way worse than pre-period bloat.  I'm sitting here at my desk and I seriously have a line indented in my sides and stomach from the waist of my pants...and they're my "fat pants".  Owww.  I'm trying to drink a lot of water to make the bloat go away but it's not working.  Is this normal or am I a freak of nature.  I'm only 4 weeks...seriously?!

  • Completely normal!  And I am with you ... DH is not impressed seeing my nasty holey jeans every day, but unless I pull out my bellaband, no other pants are comfy anymore!

It gets bad for me in the afternoons.  My button is undone on my pants and I feel much better!

Haha I honestly thought of doing this.  I agree, the afternoons are MUCH worse.  Yesterday I wore a pair of pants that I got a couple months ago from NY & Co. and they happened to be kind of stretchy with an elastic waistband.  They were awesome and I think I'm going to be wearing them a lot.

  • I'm 7 1/2 weeks and the bloat is unreal!  I keep reading that it starts to go down around 9/10 weeks, then comes back as a real bump - but everyone IRL said that's a crock...  I'm thinking we're pretty much hosed ladies...

*Probably doesnt help that I'm craving salt 24/7.  At least I'm downing water too!

  • Phew. I'm just really relieved to hear someone else is busting out of their button pants. I've been unbuttoning at every discrete occasion since Week 5...I'm not sure if I should go shopping and get pants already, or if it's going to subside or what....
  • Tell me about it, the bloat is crazy.  This morning when i got dressed my pants weren't super tight, but tight enough.  They are my favorite black skinny dress pants that i wear all the time.  I'm not sitting at my desk and they are cutting into my stomach.  I lifted up my shirt the last time i went to the bathroom and i have this huge red line and indentation  from my pants.  Reading this thread just gave me the motivation to unbutton the top button of my pants, My god that feels so much better!  Thank you ladies!  Have a fabulous night~

  •  Feelin your pain!  In the first month I gained a quick 10lbs which is rare for me because I am a runner and run 5 days a week!  Crazy how that happens!  I feel so bloated that I have been using a rubberband on my jeans because buttoning them is so painful by the afternoon!

If you aren't trying to hide it still, I'd just go get some mat pants...by the time the bloat subsides, you'll start growing a bump that'll need mat pants, anyway. They are sooooo much more comfy.

  • my pants were completely unbearable from 4 to 5 weeks but for some reason they're starting to fit better now.  I think a lot of my problem was holiday overeating Smile  right now I just wear my looser stuff and change into yoga of pajama pants as soon as the evening swelling sets in
