Some lady in 3rd tri (yes I lurk there, pathetic I know) wants to name her daughter after her friend who has IF in her honor, but her DH does not like the name. So she texted her IF friend to ask her what she would have named a baby girl if she ever had one. I think I am being hormonal, but if one of my fertile friends asked me that in a text I would probably have to throat punch them.
What do you think?
Re: Opinions.
Oh right and the link:

While the thought is sweet, I would give a serious side eye because for one I'd be pissed that she wanted to steal my future daughter I may never have's name and two, I would be mad that her DH didn't "like my name enough" to name his kid after me.
So, nice thought but kinda not going to work out......

That whole post is weird. I agree with you and would be angry and offended if any of my fertile friends did that. I also think all the 3rd tri ladies are giving her horrible advice. If one of my fertile friends called me up and said she wanted to name her child either after me or use one of "my names" because I couldn't have kids I would be annoyed. What do you say to that? And then that child would always be a reminder of your IF.
But at least it seems that your friends would have the class to CALL you. This wench just sent a text. I wonder if it was something like this
"Pregnancy is gr8, picking names is hard, so is math, what was that name you were gonna use but now you can't? I want it. In your honor of course, lol!"
All of this, but especially the bolded part. I can't believe not a single person told her this is a bad idea.
Married 1/2/99.
TTC since 4/09.
Diagnosed PCOS. Diagnosed Hypothryoid 11/09.

I would like to think my friends would never even think to do anything like this. And frankly if they did it wouldn't matter how they did it - text, email, phone call, telegram- we wouldn't be friends anymore. But I'm a biitch like that:))
I know! You hit it on the head! I can't even imagine how painful that would be.

I couldn't agree more. I am never ceased to be amazed at how heartless and completely thoughtless so many people are.
And the biitch texted to her what would she name "If" not "when". That's such a "haha, I'm pregnant, you're not" backhanded, slap in the face if ever I've seen.
Almost makes the "Someone in this universe thought that I would be fit as a mother and as of 14 weeks ago we are parents to be!!! Can?t wait to share a BIG glass of VINO with you all when this insanity is finally over considering that this is the most sober I?ve been in 14 years (no joke!) I know sad, but true. T and, well, I are prego!"
... I received via email a couple weeks ago, well thought out
ETA: I obviously didn't read the 3rd tri thread before I wrote.
Awesome.
Today dh asked why I did not want to go see a movie about AIDS orphans and I snapped "Because I cannot understand why it seems that Aids victims and crack whores are more fit for motherhood than I am!!"
One day, SL, you are I will be awesome mommies.

What? You mean you don't want to hand out precious baby names to people with prolific vaginas?
Man, you are on top of your witty phrases today!
Just in case you weren't aware, I PPH you!

Hahaha
99, you know the worst part about that picture?? That's not even the up to date family. there are a bunch missing.
The funniest thing I think I've ever read about that family on here was something along the lines of "I bet her labias are dragging on the floor by now."
LOL.
YES!!!! That is exactly what I had in mind!!
You are right Glow, it's crazy! Plus, let's not forget the grandkids. Gross.
The labia line is hilarious. I once read a comment about her labor, something like- must be so easy, they just walk right out of her vagina at this point hahaha
Ugh. My MIL LOVES this family. She is always talking about what a great family they are.
She told me the other day "there is always adoption."
I will take it one step further and say that Jim-Bob probably doesn't even know he's in her anymore. It's probably like doing a damp cloth.
I used to stalk the mb: freejinger and they always snark on Fundy families. If you really think about the Duggar's, it's pretty sad. She doesn't know her babies/children at all. As soon as they're 6 months old, she hands them off to her older girls as a "buddy" a.k.a stand in mom. The older girls are so burdened and the boys don't do much. Michelle is addicted to having babies.
Girl, I was definitely picking up what you were putting down
Glow- The Jim Bob line is terrible, I LOVE IT! lol
((hugs)), love. I totally understand what your're saying.
I 1000% agree with this. I don't get why people that are such fans of them don't see this. If her daughters want children some day, let them decide for themselves. Forcing them to be mothers to their sisters because you have pregnancy addiction is completely selfish. They deserve to be able to just be kids.
after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!
IT'S A GIRL!
