Hey ladies. Since IUI number 1 is pretty much over (I'm cramping, spotting is getting heavy, BFN on first response) I've been thinking about questions I want to ask about our next cycle.
I was on 50 mg of clomid and only had one follie (just under 19mm). We're dx with MFI, so our RE was hoping for 2 good follies. Should I ask about changing meds or dosage? I think I've heard that you can sometimes respond better to the same dosage the 2nd time around, but I also may have made that up
And this may sound totally stupid, but does your RE do CD3 monitoring on Saturday or Sunday? I mean, the rational part of my brain knows I can't be the first person ever to have CD3 fall on the weekend, but the part of my brain that obsesses over things (it's the dominating part at this point) is wondering.
TIA!
Re: Questions to ask about IUI #2... (kinda long)
I would ask about your dosage. Or at least if they start you on the same dosage, maybe they could up it as you're being monitored? (Or they could start you higher at say 100mg and then lower your dose as you're being monitored?)
My RE does monitoring every day of the week.
DX: High FSH/DOR
It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!

I started out on 100mg of Clomid and responded well to that, so I don't have any advice there. If it were me, I would ask about uping the dosage. It can't really hurt, right?
My RE is not open on Saturday or Sunday. I believe that if one of my important cycle days were to fall on a weekend, they would prescribe me Estradiol to manipulate my cycle. At least, that's what they did last time.

I only had one follie on my first round of Clomid and two on my second, so it is very possible you will respond better the second time around. Most REs will see you on weekends if your cycle days require it, or, like in my case, they may send you to a larger satellite office for weekend appointments. GL!
