DD is behind the driver, DS behind the passenger seat. It was the only way we could fit DS rear facing when he was little, now there's really no reason except that's how we started doing it.
FF toddler behing passenger, infant seat in middle.. I almost always have another person in my car and for them to get to the middle seat would be heck. I also have my son behind the passenger because I can lean over and unbuckle him, take out the infant seat and he can climb out that way..
Infant in the middle and toddler behind the passenger seat. They love it and keep each other entertained. Only had to scold DS1 one 2 times for waking the baby.
Although I've been hauling around my sister and her baby lately, so we have the two infant seats in the second row and DS in the FF seat in the third row.
DD1 (FF) is behind the driver on the back bench seat. DS (FF) is behind the passenger on the back bench. DD2 (RF) is in a captains chair behind the driver. The other captains chair is removed to make it easier to get in and out of the van. When DD3 arrives we will put it back in for her carseat.
DD1 behind driver, DD2 behind passenger. I liked this best b/c I could reach DD2 if she needed a binky replacement or something. If I need to hand something to DD1 she can reach out for it so it is ok with her behind me.
We have the infant seat in the center and the FFing convertible seat behind the passenger.
We had it that way because DD1 was still RFing up until recently, and we couldn't fit a RFing seat behind the driver seat. It also means I can still reach back to both of them when they need it. Plus I like to keep the side seat open so we can still sit back there when needed (or drive a third passenger) without having to climb over into the middle seat.

Toddler behind passenger b/c that's where he's been, there's a little more "wiggle room" behind that seat, and I can "reach" him better if I need to. Infant behind driver's seat.

My good, old, rarely-updated toddler food blog
infant seat behind passenger, RFing toddler behind driver.
Now RFing toddler (DS) behind driver, FFing toddler behind passenger.
This.

My car: FF toddler behind passenger and RF infant (in convertible seat) behind driver.
DH's car will be the other way around after we get another car seat....because the RF convertible won't fit behind DH when he drives.
