Not a Murrieta mom but wanted to say welcome to So Cal! Chicago to here is a big change. I grew up in NW IN and while I definitely miss certain things, I highly doubt that I would ever move back.
In regards to getting involved with other moms in your area, try checking out meetup.com or activites through the city like story time at the local library. Also your local community college might have mommy and me swim classes in the summer or baby yoga
