Those who bf and cosleep, does nursing always get your LO back to sleep? There are some great nights where he wakes every hour and comfort suckles right back down, and then there are other nights where he is up every 20 minutes and never going back down. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it just a phase? teething? I am exhaused, but want to continue night nursing and cosleeping.
Re: 7 months and cosleeping, nursing is not working anymore!
DS stirs frequently at night and nurses back to sleep. He generally doesn't wake all the way up. However, since he has learned how to sit up on his own he seems to sometimes have this uncontrollable urge to sit up when he wakes up. Sometimes he is obviously sleepy and I can lay him back down and nurse him down. Other times he wants to roam around the bed (he can't quite crawl, but can move a good bit). I can't really let him move around while I'm sleeping in case he falls off the bed, so I do my best to try to get him back to sleep while exerting myself very little. I hold him on top of me or next to me or rock from side to side. Sometimes he is up for a while, but I haven't had to get out of bed in the middle of the night yet.
