MH's Birthday ideas

MH will be 31 on the 24th and we were trying to figure out something to do.  Last year we went to Columbus for a few days and we are debating about doing something similar.  I haven't done too much in Cincinnati and am looking for any ideas of places to go and things to do.

Re: MH's Birthday ideas

  • I haven't done any of the following three things so they are NOT recommendations but they are things that DH and I have seen and said, "Oh, we should give that a try" so we tuck them away for birthdays, date nights, anniversary, etc.

Lebanon Mason Railroad Dinner Mystery Train

    Cincinnati Dinner Train

    B & B riverboats dinner cruise

If you are looking to get away for a night or two, we have done golf and spa at Bellterra with dinner at the Jeff Ruby's there.

There is also Murphin Ridge Inn which we hear lots of good things about. It's located in Adams county near Amish country and they have cabins you can rent. It's been recommended to us several times.

A weekend in Indianapolis could be fun.

A weekend in Cleveland visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a stop in Canton for the Football Hall of Fame makes for a fun weekend.

    Taft Museum

    Newport on the Levee

What does your H like to do?  Mine would be cool with dinner and a movie.

  • Thank for your ideas. MH is really into Breweries and Craft beers.  This probably makes him sound like an alcoholic. lol  The problem is he has probably tried about every beer available in Ohio.

The dinner train sounds neat...at least I think so.

I haven't done this, but thought your H might think it was interesting.

Its a tour of historic Over the Rhine beer district.  Not sure if there is beer tasting, but you could always follow it with lunch or dinner at Rock Bottom brewery on Fountain Square and taste some beer there!

  • Does your H like baseball? You could go to Louisville for the weekend and visit the Louisville Slugger museum.
