gift for day care teacher

We want to get something for our day care teacher.  My son is transitioning to the toddler room next week.  We love his infant primary care giver.  He really adores her.  What are some good gift ideas?   I was thinking of making a card with him (17mo), his hand print and scribbles and flowers.

    I like the flowers and handmade card idea :) 

    When my DD moved from infants to toddlers, we did the handmade card and also get her teacher a copy of our DD's favorite music CD from home, and included a note about how it was Livie's favorite, so we though some of the other babies might enjoy it too.  We included a couple other things for the teacher and her classroom, but pretty much every teacher in the center came to me and commented on what a great idea the CD was.
