I just recently started TTC. The TTC board is extremely informative and wonderful but it can also be discouraging because there are so many women who are having trouble and have been TTC for 8+ months. I thought it would be fun and encouraging to hear from some ladies who got BFPs within the first frew months of trying. I promise I won't let it get my hopes up too much but it would be fun to know that some gals hit the jackpot right away!
So... calling all women who got a BFP after 3 months or less of TTC!
9/2010: First visit to RE = CD3 b/w (normal); CD7 ultrasound (normal); DH's SA (normal but morph wasn't analyzed, so doc ordered a 2nd SA); Prog. supplements starting 3dpo for all future cycles
10/2010: SHG to check tubes (normal!) & DH's 2nd SA (normal)
2/2011: Start first Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI cycle = BFN
3/2011: IUI # 2 (Clomid + 50iu Follistim + Estradiol + IUI) = BFP!!!
Beta #1 (14 dpo)= 161
Beta #2 (17 dpo)= 518
Beta #3 (24 dpo)= 7,728

Re: Visitor from the TTC board
Hey there! I think TTC can be an overwhelming time. So much information out there and things to think about. Did you just start trying?
My husband and I were 1 of the lucky ones. We conceived our 1st month trying. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow. I didn't think it would happen that fast for us. I didn't think "we" could be 1 of the lucky ones. Turns out we were. I still have a hard time believing that it did happen. We are very excited and thankful!
Good luck....the best advice I ever got was relax and have fun while TTC. I know its not easy, but I think it works!
Ummm Feb 21 we decided to "see what happens".
Feb 21 is when I concieved.
Totally threw me for a loop since I thought it would take MONTHS. In fact, we weren't planning on trying until August, but I figured that if we started now I'd get pregnant around August. Just goes to show you what I know
I wish you the best of luck on your journey and hope to see you here soon.
Honestly, I feel a little bad at how easy it was for me. We weren't really even trying. We had discussed having a family, and we knew we're going to get married anyway, so one day, we just tried. It literally took one time for me. The very first time I ever tried to get pregnant, I did.
And it's funny, because earlier in the month, I actually was looking up online when I'd be most fertile. It wasn't until after the positive came that I remembered the day we tried was in the middle of my fertility window, even though it wasn't *supposed* to be that accurate because I'm irregular. We really did just get lucky.
I hope the best for you! A baby will come to you soon enough.
With ds i went in for my annual and stopped taking the pill. The next month I called back w/ a bfp. We weren't really trying either. I just quit the pill and figured we think about ttc in a few months.
With this one I had an IUD for 2.5 yrs. Got pregnant with it in.
Please understand that while some girls DO get pg right away, many do not. You still only have a 20% chance each month.
The women on TTGP ahave a wealth of knowledge about charting, using OPKs etc that will help you.

I got my BFP on the 5th month, 4th cycle (stopped BC in late October of '09). The best thing I learned on TTGP is that patience is a virtue and TTC is a journey! Good luck to you!
p.s.- chart your BBT- we got our BFP the 1st month of charting- it really helps with the timing!

Dh and I got the BFP after our first month. We were trying like, I should be ovulating lets do it. But we found that out to be hard on us. So as soon as we stopped "trying" we got PG. My advice is just relax and have fun. And some of those tips like, what positions and keep pelvic elevated for 20min after, worked for us.
Good luck!
I had an implanon too. I had it removed on Dec 10th. I rarely had a period with the implanon, so I wanted to wait a couple of cycles to get my body back in rhythm. We were fortunate enough to get pregnant our first official month of trying, in February. My dr was excited (and surprised) that we got pregnant so fast after having my implanon taken out.
Got knocked up the first cycle we tried. Miscarried.
Post m/c, got KU on the second cycle we tried.

We were floored when we got our BFP the first month after going off the pill - I am still shocked that after 6 year of BC it happenen in just 18 days!
I know we are super lucky
I got pregnant:
On the pill. (happy healthy daughter)
After 5 cycles trying (7 months). (Happy healthy son)
Accidentally (miscarriage)
After 3 cycles (miscarriage)
After 2 cycles (chemical)
The very next cycle (miscarriage)
After 2 cycles (still waiting to know whether this one will stick)
So, you know, just for the record, being able to get pregnant easily doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a baby quickly. We've been at it over 15 months now, trying for baby #3.
My Blog
First month got KU and then m/c.
After more than 2 years of TTC got KU again thanks to modern medicine and there is a strong possibility that I might loose this one as well.
OP, what is the point of such an idiotic question?
And don't you think those very women who have been trying for 8+ months are discouraged as well? I'm so sorry that it bothers you to hear about women who didn't get KU the first month or two trying.
I'm sorry sweetheart, but that's reality. Yes, you can see by this post that there are quite a few women who luckily got pg the first month they TTC. Yes, these girls hit the jackpot, as you call it.
But you know what, there are other ends of the spectrum too. Lurk on IF and you'll get a big ol' dose of reality. I sincerely hope you do not have to go through any of that and you do get a BFP right away. But just realize, there are women like me who are dealing with unexplained infertility. Women, like you, who thought a BFP would happen within three months of trying.
Again, good luck on your journey. But if you do decide to join the TTC board, maybe you should look at your fellow posters with different eyes, instead of just being discouraged by length of time it's taken them to get pregnant.
6 IUIs,IVF #1 w/ICSI = BFP!
Betas, 332 & 856 = twins!
Our baby girl is here!
I have conceived first cycle four times. Lost all of my babies before the second trimester.
What is this post supposed to accomplish, other than offending anyone who had a hard road to conception?
Me too. Sorry to the OP that I'm the 'bad example'.
My ute has been empty for *gasp* 18 months. There's cobwebs and dust EVERYWHERE.
Gee, OP. I didn't mean to scare you. I sure hope you don't turn out like me.
Some of you are being ridiculous. As I mentioned in my first post, I find the TTC board to be helpful and wonderful. It is important to understand all of the trials and tribulations of the TTC journey but it is also perfectly acceptable and understandable to want to hear about the success stories. I understand that getting a BFP does not mean that you'll end up with a baby. I understand that many, many women have a rough journey that takes years and years before they end up with a baby. I wasn't whining or accusing the TTC-posters of discouraging me... I think if you re-read my initial post it is pretty clear what my intentions are. The TTC posts are helpful but so are the posts that I received in this thread (before the last 3 or 4 debbie-downers came along and barked at me). So sue me for wanting to hear some success stories!

I don't usually post on this board because, surprise, I am not pregnant yet. Sorry if that's a downer for you. Its a downer for me too. But I just have to jump in because you caught me literally right after I got my period after exactly 1 year of TTC, 8th cycle of trying (had to take some time off due to M/C).
If you lurked at all on any of these boards, especially the TTC boards, you would understand how hurtful and insensitive this post really was. I am so happy for anyone that got pregnant "without even trying" or "on BC" or "right after going off BC." Really, because I would not wish the frustration, worry that there is something seriously wrong with you or your DH, disappointment every month and the overall feeling that you are a failure at the one thing that our bodies are "made to do."
I can't even put myself into the shoes of the very brave women that have been trying for a lot longer than me, have had multiple losses and are on difficult and expensive fertility treatments because, I am not there (yet). But I am starting to get a "taste" of how they must be feeling with every AF I get.
Even though I am happy for every success I hear about, nothing feels like more a kick in the ovaries when that success is followed with a description of how easy it was for that person. Good luck to you and I truly hope it is really easy for you.
Debbie Downer indeed!
Would you like to stick your head in the sand a little further? You COULD totally be someone like me... infertility treatments, months and months (even YEARS!!) without a BFP... sounds like an awesome good time, doesn't it?
OP, you suck. Thanks for being yet another person who looks down on all of us TTC'ing.
So sorry my honest answer to your question is Debbie Downer of me. You post a question like this, you are going to get mixed responses. Put on your big girl panties and deal with it, or don't ask.
Also, if you think this was being barked at, you are in for a tough Bump life.
I got a BFP the first cycle trying in October-had a missed m/c in November.
I got a BFP the first cycle trying in February-hoping this one sticks.
Calling people ridiculous b/c they could not read your mind, is uncalled for especially b/c you have only 4 posts to your name.
Believe me, I wish I could live in blissful ignorance about TTC. It was much easier then the hell I went through to get here and now the hell I am going through as I face another possible m/c.
We don't fart puppies and rainbows on this board, b/c that is not the reality of life. If you want puppies and rainbows, go elsewhere!
OP- Take a chill pill.
You asked a question and got answers.
END.OF.STORY.
People answered the question. Sorry if not all BFPs have happy endings or if not everyone here was able to say, "It happened for me right away!"
Who the eff are you? you have 2 posts.
Usually people with two posts don't join in.. they lurk.
You're gonna be a fun one, huh?
Thanks mommy1010. I would have expected the negative responses if I would have made the mistake of posting my message on the TTC board, but I specifically posted on the 1st Tri board so that I wouldn't offend those that haven't been blessed yet.
I have been lurking on the various bump boards for a while, and it seems like there aren't many places where you can post a message like mine without getting blasted. I thought some of the bump boards would be a place where newbie hopefuls like myself can seek out success/happy stories... but apparently I was wrong.
