Trouble TTC

**3T Weekly Check-In**

**Hello Ladies!! I hope 2011 is getting off to a good start for everyone!**

If you would like to be added, please answer these questions in a post below:

1) What is your name (if you want to share)?

2) When did you start TTC?

3) What is your diagnosis, if you have one?

4) What treatments have you done?

If any information I have listed needs changed or if you want anything added or if you were previously listed in the ?No Diagnosis Yet? section and now have one, please be sure to let me know so I can update. Good luck, everyone!!

** We?ve got some 3Ters pursuing adoption so I?ve added a section for that.  Please let me know if you would like to be added.**

QOTW: What is the last big-ticket item you bought? Do you still love it or do you now regret it?

Success Stories: Congratulations girls!  You give us all hope.

Re: **3T Weekly Check-In**

  • Hi Zook! Thanks for posting the check-in and keeping up with everything.

Update: Unfortunately IUI #3 was a bust. AF came yesterday. I think we are going to do TI again this cycle so we can save up some more money for treatments at the new RE. I also have to find out about my copay for lap, since I have decided to go forward with that surgery. DH sees the urologist on February 7th. So, it just makes sense to sit this cycle out as far as treatments.

QOTW: We got a sectional couch and a king-sized bed back in May 2010. We financed them for 12 months and it will soon be paid off! I do not regret that purchase at all. At 0% financing, you can't beat it!

  • Hi

Update: I'm on CD 36 and no signs of AF although I'm pretty sure it's due to the cysts that have not gone away. I'm seeking out a second opinion with Shady Grove Fertility Clinic in Federick MD. And am a little nervous since they are out of network and are at least a 3 hour drive :( I really have cold feet about even seeing them...

QOTW: We bought a leather sofa and rocker recliner in July 2010 and I'm not so crazy about it any more it's not as comfy as it was in the store.

  • Hi:)

Update:Tuesday I went in for bloodwork and ultrasound so we could start the process for IUI#2 and they found 9 cysts. The largest being 4cm and another measuring 5cm. They have me currently on birth control pills. So hopefully next cycle we will be set to go. Hopefully IUI#2 will be the one because it looks like it will be our last try:(

QOTW: What is the last big-ticket item you bought? Do you still love it or do you now regret it?

The last thing I bought was a 2010 Toyota Corolla last March. I still love it:)

  • Update:  AF showed up so starting BCP's on Monday.  I will go in this week to go over my IVF calendar.  So excited to get started.

QOTW:  Besides the IVF purchase on Friday, we bought a leather couch for the basement.  Still love the couch.

  • Update: hoping to get a + OPK when I test tonight...we shall see if we had good timing! I also am going to make an appt. with an RE if this cycle doesn't pan out. I for some reason have really high hopes this go round, so I kind of feel bad calling. I look at it this way though, if I don't get a BFP, at least I have an appt. to go to without having to wait another month.

QOTW: DH got a Toyota Tacoma NYE...he haggled his little heart out and got a great deal. I don't regret it b/c he's been wanting a truck for a long time, but I'm not exactly happy about having 2 car payments now. My car is $7000 from being paid off though so that makes me feel a little bit better.

~Brandywine, you are so sweet always thanking me every week. I really love doing the check in, but it is work to keep it up. I appreciate you recognize that and keep me encouraged!! <3 Thank you!!

Thank you for all the ladies who keep posted on here, I really enjoy knowing where everyone is at so I can cheer you on!

  • Update: Triggered Last Thursday night and had my first IUI's Friday & Yesterday.  I am still really crampy.  DH had great counts both days over 35 mil post wash. I'll go in on Friday for progesterone b/w.

QOTW: hmm if this counts, my last big ticket was the last 3 weeks of meds, appointments and IUI's $6,500.  It will all be worth it, if it works!

QOTW: We don't really make very many large purchases. We upgraded our electronics last year with a new flat-screen HDTV, and a Wii. We thoroughly enjoy playing together and just this week we found a good deal on a blu-ray player last week and we are very excited about that.

  • I'm a little more than 1/2 way through my 2ww after a surprise +opk on our break cycle.  Not feeling super confident since this was an unmedicated cycle, but trying to stay positive.  If this month is a bust we will move onto IUI.

QOTW: I honestly can't remember what our last big ticket item was.  This is probably because all I can think about is the next big ticket purchase we will be making.  Our ~4 year old big screen is going out and I am just sick about it.  If anyone is TV shopping avoid Mitsubish.

  • Update:  Technically half-way through the 2ww of our 6th IUI cycle, although I still have about a week and a half before I'm supposed to test (booster trigger just done on Friday).  We did go ahead and set up an IVF consult with our RE for this week though.  That way if this IUI doesn't work, which I'm not expecting it to, we'll be prepared and know what we need to know about getting IVF rolling.

QOTW: Hmm....probably our new TV for our great room.  I don't know all the specs on it.  It's big, flat, and we can watch 3D stuff on it, lol.  (This was entirely DH's thing!)  Still love it!

  • Hi ladies!

I am triggering tonight for IVF #2 for an ER on Tuesday.  I have a decent number of follicles, so I'm hoping for a good fert report!

QOTW:  We bought a 4 Runner for DH this year, and he loves it.  We don't have a payment on it, so I guess it was a good purchase :)

  • Update: Kind of the same as last week. When AF shows, I'll go for CD3 b/w and u/s and my HSG is tentatively scheduled for 1/28. DH will have his 3rd SA that day as well. If everything goes as planned, our IVF consult will be on 2/4. Yikes!

QOTW: We recently bought a pretty pricey Tempurpedic bed. It might be the BEST thing we've ever bought. No regrets at all!

  • Update:  Just had my lap and hysteroscopy done last Tuesday.  Everything came out all clear and waiting on my path report from my D&C.  On to injectables at my next consultation in 2 weeks.

QOTW:  We bought a new roof.  We could have bought me a new car or saved for IVF if it was necessary.  But no regrets.  We really needed a new roof.

  • Update: Still on BCP's for my IVF cycle but I take my last one on Friday!!!:)

QOTW:  I guess it would be the flat screen tv for our bedroom.  I was hesitant about it at first but I'm loving the fact that the tv takes up like no room in our tiny bedroom now.  (I've tried not having a tv in my room and I have trouble falling asleep because my mind won't shut down... otherwise we wouldn't be dealing with a tv in the room at all)  So no, don't regret it:)

  • Update: today is 6dpIUI, trigger is officially out of my system. I'm really trying to wait until 14dpo to test again. I'm not terribly optimistic about this cycle, given our low counts, but am glad to know our RE feels like we still have a chance with IUI so will be doing this again next month with a few modifications if needed.

QOTW: probably our kitchen remodel. While not technically an "item" it was the most money I have ever spent on anything (other than buying the house). I have no regrets, I LOVE it. I cook a lot and the old 1930's kitchen we had did not lend itself well to cooking. Now it is beautiful and more open and much more functional.

  •  Please add me to the list....again (I was MIA for a while).

    1) What is your name (if you want to share)? Amber

    2) When did you start TTC? 07/2008

    3) What is your diagnosis, if you have one? PCOS w/ IR, hypothyroid

    4) What treatments have you done? Clomid, injectables, IUI attempts but never made it due to no response

QOTW: Last May we bought a new Vera Wang Organic Collection bed by Serta. It was more than I ever thought I would spend on a bed, but sooooo worth it. We love it! We also bought a Ford Explorer last July as a 3rd car. It was used, and we weren't really looking yet (we bought it as a 'family car'), but it was such a good deal we couldn't pass it up. We don't drive it to work due to gas, but we drive it other places, and we love it!

  • Update:  Just finished our third cycle of Clomid, TI and Progesterone which resulted in BFN.  RE did additional monitoring this month (mid cycle u/s - checking follie size and post-coital) after I insisted...apparently he doesn't do this normally...not sure why.  I am not feeling very confident in him as his protocol seems to be very lax and not the norm.  Unfortunately he is the only one in my area.  DH and I are meeting with him tomorrow morning and we are going to second request an HSG.  I requested last month but RE said it was too 'premature.'  If he says this again, I am going to ask for a better explanation.  I am hoping to have the HSG this cycle and maybe move on to IUI depending on the results.  I am trying hard to have a better attitude, but I'm afraid we may have to look into REs in Dallas, which will be about three hours away.

QOTW: Our most recent major purchase was a Wii and we have enjoyed playing it together, but have missed out on it this week because we have both been ill.

  • Update: I am 12dpo from IUI #1 and my temp went down this morning so I decided not to test.  I am just waiting for AF. We are going to do the same cycle again with clomid+trigger+IUI.

QOTW:  I bought a very expensive tanzanite ring in St Maartin last summer.  I dont regret it because its amazing but it could pay for 4 rounds of IUI.

  • Update:  Received my IVF meds on Friday and tomorrow I go for my SHG and mock transfer.  Final IVF appt. on Tuesday and we will sign all the paperwork.  Thursday morning is my injects class.  Still waiting (not so patiently) to O so I will know when I will start lupron.

QOTW:  Hmm...I thought my 3 pairs of sale shoes at DSW ($117) was a big purchase that I am still unsure about - lol.

I guess the last big purchase was either my car, not new, but new to me in April 2009 (week b/f the wedding, my car died) or our living room furniture - couch, love seat, 2 end tables and a coffee table which we got when we bought the house, summer of 2008, but just paid off this Sept. (it was 24 months same as cash - the couch took longer, so we had 2 extra months to pay it off).  Love my car, love the furniture - except the coffee table - I love how it looks, but the finish is crappy and I am disappointed in that.

  • Update: Last cycle was a BFN. Started Femara and Menopur again and go for an u/s on Wednesday. My RE said she would go for 2 more IUIs and then we should move to IVF. I'm hoping that this cycle works!

QOTD: I guess probably my car was our last big purchase. My old car was totaled so it was kind of a necessity, but I love my new car! It's the first brand new car I've ever had so it's been exciting for me (it's a Camry).

  • **I've been MIA for a little bit, but I'm ready to jump back in with you ladies.**

Update: I just finished taking my 2nd round of Clomid on Friday.  I have an ultrasound on Wednesday to check follie growth.  I'm hoping to have a couple more bigger follies than last time.  If so, they'll do the trigger and the IUI will be the next day.

QOTW:  I guess that the last thing that we bought that was a few digits is the flooring for our basement.  We're remodeling and putting laminate hardwoods down throughout the whole thing.  We have the guest bedroom done so far and it looks beautiful!

Thanks Zook for keeping up with this each week - that is quite a list!

  • My IVF protocol appointment moved to February 15th.  It feels so far away, and yet...so close.  Best of luck to all that are testing this week :)

QOTW:  The last big ticket item that we bought was my car.  I was rear ended and my car did not fair well.  So we bought a new/used car.  I do not regret it for a second.  I love, love my car.  It is so much more enjoyable to drive then my previous vehicle.

  • Update: I'm in the tail end of the 2WW.  I had a negative at 10DPO so I'm now just sort of waiting for 14DPO so I can test once more and then quit the progesterone.

QOTW: My husband and I bought a new Imac for Christmas.  We love it!  It has plenty of storage so my husband can go back to taking video and pictures like a mad man.

  • Update: Waiting to O after finishing up my last round of clomid.  We have an appointment set up to discuss what we'll be trying next if this doesn't work...

QOTW: Hmmm nothing exciting - it was our sump pump and french drains that we had to get after our basement flooded SEVERAL times last winter...I guess I still love it, as long as I continue to have a dry basement!!

  • Update: I triggered last night and ER will be tomorrow. I'm happy with the # of follies I've got so I'm hoping for a good fert rate.

QOTW: We haven't made any big purchases in a while, trying to save every penny for IVF! The last thing was probably our DSLR & iPad that we got over the summer. I love them both and absolutely don't regret it!
