What is your favorite board game?

MH and I like to play board games and I am always looking for new ones. Which is is your favorite board game and why?

Mine is currently Bezzerwizzer:

It's tons of fun when you play it with 4 or 6 people. It is similar to Trivial Pursuit, but with more tricks and tactics.

Just played Bezzerwizzer with my sister a few weeks ago - it is fun! I bet it would be a riot with more than 2 people.

MH hates board games, which kills me, because I LOVE them. I am a fan of all the Cranium games. Hoopla and Whoonu are tons of fun.

I also really like Mancala and good, old-fashioned Clue.

Ok well my current favorite game isn't actually a board game... There's a board for scoring, but it's card game.

We played at Christmas with FSIL teaching us all and it was so much fun!!!! She and I were on a team and kicked our men's butts Wink

For Christmas we got Would You Rather? but we haven't played it yet. Looks fun, though.

MH gave me Cranium for Christmas 2009! I like it a lot, too. I should get it out of the closet so we remember to play it next time :-)

This is my FAVORITE! We play it every holiday with my 5 siblings and the SOs. And Phase 10 is a new favorite that we all love to hate. It's a card game but falls under the same category for me. It's incredibly long but when your winning at it, it's really fun.

I love taboo - DH and I once got 12 cards in one round, which we were really proud of. We used to play monopoly too, but I have been barred from that since I am not willing to sell stuff.

Many already said it, but I love Taboo. We also love Monopoly Deal (which is a card game) and Uno (cards again). Now that I think of it I guess the two of us play more card games than board games!

I'm with PPs--Apples to Apples is the best, even though it's not technically a "board" game. If we're talking about games that do have boards, though, I think my favorite is Scrabble.

For you all that love Apples to Apples, you HAVE TO try the "Game of Things" (PP had a picture of it). In Apples to Apples you throw down a card for your response, but in the Game of Things, you make up your own response and then guess who wrote it. TON of fun with a group of adults who have had a few to drink already!

TOTALLY agree!! MH and in-laws introduced me to this game last Christmas, and I absolutely love the challenge of it. I'm also really enjoying Banagrams, which is a spin-off of Scrabble.

I dont have a fave board game, but DH and I got a card game called "Things". Its so funny! Its kinda like apples to apples except each person makes up their own response to the question. It is such a fun time, we laugh so hard when we play!
