Pregnant after IF

Anyone have CCS or CGH Embryo Testing?

I am 7 weeks PG with an embryo that went through CCS testing at CCRM in Denver.  According to CCRM all the chromosomes were checked and there is only a 10% failure rate. If there were any extra, missing or defective chromosomes, they should have been caught.  They still recommend an Amnio given that there is a 10% failure rate.  However, this is my last shot and I'm inclined to go through 1st trimester screening but skip the amnio unless the screening indicates something wrong.  Anyone else out there have CCS or CGH testing?  And if so, did you do an amnio?

Thanks!

Laura

Re: Anyone have CCS or CGH Embryo Testing?

  • I did PGD and they made me sign something saying that I would get a CVS or Amnio...but, my dr said they obviously can't make you do it, so we've decided not to do any more testing.  I had a bad experience with CVS with a previous pregnancy so my dr understood why we would never do it again.  Like you suggested, I would do the 1st trimester screening and skip any further testing.

    Congrats on your pregnancy!
