Does that name mean anything? It reminds of military barics (sp?).

Is it pronounced like Derek? I just don't get it. Sorry. I do give you credit for trying to find a name for your son that is original. This one just sounds (no offense) completely made up.

Awful, awful. Not even a name. Makes me think of military barracks, and if you are going for a different spelling, then it just looks like Barack, as in Obama. I actually like Barack better.

If you picked this name you would have to know that EVERYONE is going to pronounce it with a B....that would probably get so annoying. Some people mispronouncing would be ok but in this case it would be mostly everyone. Then trying to teach him to spell is name out knowing that D and B do not have the same sound. Everyone would misspell it when writing it down after hearing it.

If you like the name Derick and thats how you want it to sound why not name him Derick?

I think she means it's pronounced LIKE Derick, only with a B instead. Not that it's spelled with a B and pronounced like a D.
