Well me and my husband really want a baby. I wasn't always the best at taking my BC and I was always on antibotics. Finally over a month ago I quit taking my BC. I had a light menstural cycle then began trying. A month later I get another menstrual cycle and it is heavy. I really got upset when the tests were negative. I am really worried that if I don't have a baby soon I never will. Cancer runs in my family and I don't want to be diagnosed with cancer before I can ever have a child. I know my chances of getting cancer at 22 is rare but it can happen. I had a lump removed from my breast at 18 that was not cancer but then two years later my mother found she had breast cancer in the same breast that I had. I am really upset and really want this child, but I am trying not to push it because I don't want to end up miscarring.
Re: trying but no luck this month
Good luck with your trying. I have been trying for a year. Sometimes it doesn't happen quickly. I think you should given yourself more time to concieve naturally and if you still don't get your BFP within a couple months go talk to your doc about your option. I have been on 3 round of clomid and I believe we finally got our BFP!
Sometimes you just need to figure out how your body works.
Good luck!
Baby Dust!!
It's very common after taking birth control to take several months for your cycle to regulate. And it also takes the average couple a year to conceive. I remember my first month with a negative test result and I was devastated. I always assumed it would be easy for us.
A couple tips, I would pick up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Its so helpful about learning about your cycle, when you are ovulating, and when the best days are for conception. Also, the website Fertility Friend is great for tracking your temps which can be another measure of when you ovulated. You can click on my ticker below to get there and sign up for a free account.
As the previous posters said, this board is mainly for women seeking treatments. There are several boards on this site for those within their first year of trying to conceive. Take a look at Trying to Get Pregnant or Babies on the Brain. Lurk a little to see what the board is like and if it works for you.
Best of luck!
