I use Tide 'free and clear' (saw the other person's post on this) and I love it.
Is it safe to use fabric softeners on baby stuff? I found a Downy 'free and clear', and want to know if it's ok. Or are ANY fabric softeners that are good for baby clothes/sheets/etc?
Re: More Washing/Fabric Softener Question
This is what we do... Really clothing doesn't need to be softened.. and the less stuff you start with the better. If they DC does react you dont have to narrow down through tons of things to figure out the cause.
I don't use fabric softener. It is expensive and chock full of chemicals. I use white vinegar instead! Super cheap, rinses clean, and doesn't leave an odor!
ETA - i don't use dryer sheet either. Wool dryer balls are awesome! They quicken drying time, prevent static, and don't contain chemicals!

Dang. I bought the fabric softener already. I'll just use it on the adult stuff, because I can't return it. What's funny, is that I've never used liquid fabric softener. So now I have it, and really shouldn't be using it!
I will, however, try the vinegar thing. It sounds gross and smelly to me, but you all say it works great and so I'll try it.
Thanks!!
