I should never make deals with DH...ever!

So DH and I have talked expensively about TTC. First we were going to wait until April but we (read I) couldn't wait and now we're "seeing what happens."

It truly is taking every fiber of my being to now run out and get OPKs and a BBT.

    Why don't you go ahead and get them (there are cheap ones online), and not talk to him about it? I don't talk to DH about temping, when I'm Oing, etc. He's just there to give me the protein milkshake I need. :) It cuts out a lot of stress and unneeded arguments.

    Why don't you tell your an adult who can make their own decisions about their body and he is either ready to have a baby now or he isn't. If he's ready you do as much or as little as makes you feel comfortable, and you share as much or as little as he wants to hear. If he says he's not ready then you stop TTC but one partner can't dictate the others baby making efforts if you are both willing and wanting.

    Well, the way I look at it is: I do what I need to do to keep my sanity and stay as informed as I can about my body, and we don't have knock down drag outs b/c I'm stressed due to waiting for AF, O, BFP, BFN, etc. It's win win. Men dont understand what it's like for us. Put your foot down (since you don't feel right abou tdoing it behind his back) and say you're BOTH trying for a child. It will be less expensive in the end if you learn how your body works than having to go to a doc after so long of trying and trying. Does your DH like to buy things for himself?? Do you tell him he can't?? Exactly.

    If you're "seeing what happens" then you're TTC. If you're not both ready to be TTC then you shouldn't be starting now.
