3rd Trimester

real quiet.

so today's my due date...and my LO has been really quiet all day, no real movement, i've felt her feet once or twice and lots of pressure, but other than that, nothing. since this is my first baby i'm not too sure what to be expecting....so i guess i just need to know if i should be concerned that she's not really moving around or if it's normal before you go into labor! TIA!

Re: real quiet.

  • Well, I'm a FTM too but I would assume that she would still be active during the time of day she normally is.  I would just do your kick counts on the normal time you do them (or feel the most movement).  Just remember it's an estimate on the due date.

Hang in there mamma, your LO will be here soon enough!

  • I would drink something cold and/or sugery and see if that makes LO move around. If not and you get nothing after trying to get them to move, it is definitely worth a call to your doctor or midwife.

My DD was never active all day. Only at night when I got home from work and sat down to relax. This one seems to knock me around every time I sit anywhere.

  • If you are still feeling some movement I wouldn't worry. A lot of women say their LO's slowed down a lot right before labour. I'd try to take a nap and rest as much as you can today/tomorrow. Good luck.
