Re: Wii fit or Wii EA Active

  • I only have the wii fit and it's fun but I don't find it to be too much of a workout.
  • Loading the player...
  • I have Wii Fit Plus, but not EA Active.  Wii Fit is fun, but it's not really a workout.  I like to do the yoga in the mornings, but the "aerobic" exercises are not really enough to get your heart rate up.
    bishes be crazy
  • Thanks ladies. I think I will go with the EA ACtive and buy the balance board seperately

  • If you're looking for a workout where you are sore the next day get the EA active.  I have both.  Wii Fit for a lack of a better word is waaaaack!  lol

You won't even work up a sweat with Wii Fit.  Just to give you an example, on EA sports active you do lunges, plyometrics, kickboxing, and running.

Yes, running.  You run in place but holy cow, your heart rate goes through the roof.

  • Well turns out DH bought me EA Active for my birthday, so thanks. And good job DH Big Smile

IMO, I don't like to use the balance board with EA active.  Since you can't jump on it, you'll miss out on any plyometric exercises. You can definitely use the program without  the balance board.  See how you like it, you might be able to save some $

Oh, how is the kickboxing?  The rhythm boxing on Wii Fit is a freaking joke.

It's nothing compared to doing the real thing but my arms/shoulders were hella sore the next day.  Anything that makes you use your arms will get your heart rate up.  That, it does.
