My ghetto ass is playing in the alley with some neighbor friends, a couple of hoses and relatively clean garbage can lid "shields". And it is awesome. That, or I am gathering ants for an ant farm.

My 2 sisters, my cousin, my best friend and I are playing "lawn skits". It's a game where we get into groups and make up skits to perform on the front lawn to entertain each other. My group is performing a dance routine to NKOTBs "The Right Stuff" as the passing cars slow down as they drive by my house to see what these "crazy kids" are up to. Thanks for reminding me of a hilarious memory Big Smile

I love this one, Otter! So creative!

I would be either at day camp or riding bikes around my neighborhood with the 5 or so other girls who were around my age.

It depends what time of day. Early in the day, I would be at the nearby park in a summer camp, swimming, playing wiffle ball or gluing macaroni to construction paper or other arts and crafts.

In the later afternoon, we would watch He-Man and then go outside and roller skate or make barbie swim in the kiddie pool or find some other way to get into trouble with my best friend.

I miss being 7!

Either at the cottage with my family, sitting on the beach, my nose stuck in a book or building a sandcastle with my Dad.

Or, out in the neighbourhood playing with my BFF. She was one of 9 kids - we used to rule that neighbourhood. Jumprope, treehouse tea, swinging, Skip-it, bike rides. We certainly knew how to entertain ourselves.

I am trying to entice my 4-year-old sister to jump into the manhole without a cover ("because once you get in there, it's really a ball pit like the one at Chuck-E-Cheese"), or ride her tricycle down a very steep hill ("because once you get going fast enough, you'll learn how to fly") or to sneak Daddy's keys off the kitchen table and try to start his car ("because you're never too young to learn how to drive.").
