Re: Cutting out soda and eating healthy

  • Same here! Doesn't it make you sick? My husband drinks 3 or 4 cokes a day, eats tons of junk food at night, DOESN'T work out and looks great! As bad as I crave soda, I stick to my water, watch him eating junk with a growling stomach, and work my butt off and I still feel so fat. It's not fair.

  • Seriously???  I hate to be snarky, but you do realize it takes time for your body to go back to (towards) your pre-baby figure.  Neither one of your babies is even 3 months old, sheesh, give it time.  Remember, it took 9 months to get where your body is, assume it will take just as long to get back (some people will take less time, some more).

  • Could you be inadvertently replacing that pop with another alternative like juice or coffee with lost of flavor? Are you replacing your junk with so called healthy foods like dried fruit and nuts (which are healthy, but very calorie dense)? Look into this, maybe this is where you are going wrong without even realizing.

Stick with your new lifestyle change, it will work in the end. I think that we have been brainwashed into thinking that if we cut out pop then we will magically lose 5lbs a week. I think that only works if you are as big as the contestants on the biggest loser.

Good luck, and keep us updated :)

  • It's possible that you are losing inches.  Pounds tend to follow!  Good Luck, keep it up, soda and junk isn't good for you anyways, sound like good things to give up!

  • I think you're being hard on yourself.  Give your body some time...you just made these changes and your body is not the same after you had a baby!

I'd also consult  your doctor for some recommendations.  For example, a lot of women have success when they follow the weight watchers program.   You're dr. may provide a more solid nutrition plan to help with your weight loss.

    Good luck!
