WWYD chosing acupuncturist

I have 2 options for acupuncture, the offices are only about 2-4 miles apart.

Option 1 is the acupuncturist that is on my RE's website and even does appointments at one of their locations. Obviously she is familiar with infertility. I've been trying to contact her this week, email and phone message, with no luck but the RE's office said that she could be away since she's normally good about returning calls.

Option 2 is affliated with an insurance discount program, however, I couldn't really get the details on the phone because I think she wasn't understanding what I was asking or referring to. If what she told me is correct, she is more expensive than option 1. However, she answered the phone and said that there is availability for next week. Her website is thorough and addresses infertility so I'm sure she is use to dealing with it as well.

Today is CD 10 of a break cycle so I would like to get started, um yesterday. So what would you do?

That is a really tough question. I am not sure what I would want to do. I think that I would want to work with the one who worked with my RE, but getting in soon would be hard to pass up.

I went in for a consultation appt before they did any acupuncture. Could you do that with both and then decide?

I suppose I could and DH suggested that I could always switch, but it looks like the initial appointment for both costs $120 so I only want to do that once if I can help it. I feel like I'm leaning towards going with the one that works with my RE, I just wish she would call me back.

I hope she calls you back soon. My consulation appt was free because I just talked them. Maybe you could ask about that? Good luck.

Update: When I googled again and her FB page with website popped up. I looked a little further because I noticed that we have a friend in common, then I figured WTH I'll see if I can see any posts and I can see her wall. Turns out last night she was at the hospital with a sister or SIL who was having a baby and earlier in the week she lost her palm pilot. So, I'm going to just be patient and assume that this is not normal and not a sign of anything.

I love the stalker instincts!!! Just kidding - lol. I would have done the same. I think I would go with her, provided you can get in with her in the near future. I think having someone who goes to your RE's would be great. I know mine doesn't (although I found her on their site). She knows two acupuncturists who do go there (for day of ET), so she can tell them her protocol with me, but I would rather have the person I am used to - kwim?
