What size nipple for 6 month old?

I have been trying a size 3 nipple and my baby is fighting it. I use the born free bottles. Are your babies taking the size 3? Do they have to adjust to it?

I use the Playtex nipples - they come in slow, medium and fast. My 8 month still won't take the medium. My (now) 6 year old dd never did either. She used the slow nipples until the day she stopped using bottles.

dd was on dr. brown's 3s by 6 months. she was falling asleep on the 2s for each bottle or taking 45 mins to finish it. it did take her a few days to get used to the 3s though. i gave her one #3 bottle a day for about a week and then she moved up to all 3s.

My DS is on size 3 nipples for the Tommee Tippee bottles. We have been on size 3 since around 6 months. It was just taking him so long to finish a bottle when we were on the size 2s.

DD1 did this too. DD2 is almost 7 months and still using slow. She hates the fast ones!
