cold medicine while trying to get pregnant???

We are trying to get pregnant but don't know yet if we are so does anyone know if it is safe to take cold medicine while I'm sick or should I hold off?

    panadol (paracetamol)  is safe... or i think it's tylenol in USA? anything with sudafed in it will dry up your cm if your TTC, and anything like nurofen probably not a good idea. but best to check with your doc.

    I took robetussin dm when I was pregnant and am taking it now while bf, so it's safe for a potential fetus but I have no idea if it would have any effect on your cm.

    My doctor told me until I actually am pregnant, I'm okay using any products and eating any foods I am currently eating. That being said, she was discussing potential fetus health, not CM.

    Tylenol, Sudafed (pseudoephedrine, not the other kind) and Benadryl are all safe while TTC.  Stay away from Advil/ibuprofen (including Advil Cold & Sinus).  Feel better soon!
