I pronounce Leah like Leia. That's how it is in the old Testament and that's my Hebrew name and that's how it is pronounced. It wasn't until I started going onto baby boards that I even saw that Leah could be pronounced like Lia (which is how I would also spell it).
Re: Has anyone ever seen the name Leah spelled any other way??
ohoh!
do Leigha! yea, that looks pretty......
A girl i went to college with spelled her name~ Lia
Yeah..thats not bad. Some people may be confused on how to pronounce it at first but, its nowhere near cruel and unusual
Hmmm.....
My SIL spells her name this way but pronounces it Lee.
I'm not sure I've seen it spelled any way other than Leah, but I like the Leigha suggestion. Maybe add an extra "h" for fun. Leighah.
I have heard Lea as (Leah) and (Lee). I think Leigha looks awful. I prefer Lia or Leah.
Lea
Leah
Lia

But that would be Lay-ah, not Lee-ah.
I've seen Leiah.
And her sister was Maddisen.
They will be spelling those for others the rest of their lives.
Lia or Leah, for sure.
I think strangely spelled names are generally a bad idea. It ends up being frustrating for you and your child.
