I'll be 32 weeks. We are getting our own furniture/big items so I'm not worried there. Then with 8 weeks left, that's plenty of time to go out after the shower and get all the little necessities we may not have received. I registered for everything and know what I want...it's just a matter of physicially getting it. I'd feel the same if the shower was at 34 weeks.
I am not having one this time but with DD I was 33 at my first and 36 at my second (my mom and MIL threw seperate showers so that they could be smaller and less overwhelming). I really liked having one at 36 weeks. That last month is a long one and it gave us stuff to set up and occupy ourselves with.

I'm not having a shower for this pg, but with DS I had 3- at 35, 36, and 37 weeks! So no, I don't think you're cutting it too close.
37 weeks may have been pushing it, but luckily it worked out fine for us!

I'll be 26 weeks at mine. My sister lives out west and we're all out east so its hard for her to get away. Throw in that she is in school and that leaves her spring break as the best and easiest time. So they all told me it'd be that weekend but are not sharing any other info with me. I think I'll be glad it'll be a bit on the early side so I *hopefully* will be a little more comfortable and so my sister can share the day with me.
Mine is this coming weekend, so I'll be 25 weeks. I had a plane ticket I had to use by the end of this month, and the shower is in a different state from where I live. I'm kind of happy I'm having it early though, DH has already received some furniture at the house that will be put together by the time I get home

im due may 31st and im having mine the 3rd weekend of april so whatever taht is! my sister is having hers at between 28-30 wks tho. i just want to be closer to my due date!

I'll be 33-35 weeks depending on which due date my midwife decided to go with. I work evenings and Saturdays right now so I am taking off work 6-8 weeks early so I can do my prenatal classes. We'll have the shower once I'm off work and once my SIL has had her baby (she's due in March). I feel like I have no real choice as with the OT I'm working right now I work Sundays as well.
My friends are throwing me an early shower so that one of my best friends who lives out of the country will be able to attend. I'll be 24 weeks for that.
My family shower will be closer to 34 weeks- no exact date yet.
I'll be 30 weeks. And no, I don't think 32 to 34 weeks is cutting it too close. You only really need about a week to return or exchange things and wash clothes.
I'm not having one this time, but last time I was 34 weeks. 4 days later I got put on bed rest, so I'm glad I had gotten most of the stuff put away and organized ahead of time. But that was just bad luck. I don't think in general it would matter.
