We had our amnio done of Fri
We got a call from our Dr. today. He got the results from the FISH test ( we thought it would be Wed.) It shows that our Mason does have down syndrome. We will see the peri. again this week hopefully to have a follow up appt. and go from there.
Not really sure where to go or what to do right now. But we do know that Mason is OUR MASON no matter what.
Re: Baby Mason Update....Results came back today

Incase you haven't heard of this blog: enjoying the small things. https://www.kellehampton.com/ She has a wonderful blog I look forward to her updates. She has a daughter who is almost 1 with downs.
So Sorry you have to deal with this all!
I'm sure it's a lot to deal with, but at least you have some answers.
DH's uncle had Down Syndrome and has been gone for ten years and is greatly missed. He brought so much love and joy to the family. I hope Mason brings that to yours.
Hi There,
Thank you so much for keeping us updated. I cannot for a moment pretend to know what you are going through, I have no idea what it would be like but I can speak from a little bit of experience. I was born legally blind. I have an eye condition called Microphthalmnia which basically means small eye in Latin. The Doctors had no idea i would be born blind and obviously technology what not what it is now. I now work teaching children and working with families who have blind children and I understand now that my disability must have been devistating, for a time for my mom. I think my parents must have been terrified and disappointed ( they would never tell me this.
But when I hear my mom speak to new moms she always says that Having a child with a disability has been the absolute best thing to happen in her life. She says I taught her pateince, to appreiciate life and to fight for what she wanted.
So, I am hopeful and optimistic that there will be many blessings and gifts in this situation.
Bless you and I know you are in God's hands.

I can't imagine what you are going through.
I've worked with a lot of children with downs syndrome. Children with downs have a better chance than most children with special needs at living a close to normal life.
Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers!
Love love love this blog!

Esma: I'll turn him into a flea. A harmless little flea. Then Ill put that flea in a box. And put that box inside another box. Mail that box to myself. And when it arrives. ILL SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER. Its brilliant, brilliant, brilliant I tell you. Genius I say.
Or to save on postage. Ill poison him with this.
Thanks for updating us.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
