  • My boy name that was vetoed: Garron Latham

    His boy name: Hunter Jay

    My girl name: Cora Noel

    His girl name: Caitlin Grace

If we ever have a girl we already have a name picked out, but if we ever have another boy I'm still going to try and put Garron on the list....or at least Latham as a middle name.

    ok

    I'd veto that too!

  • DH vetoed Mable.  I still really love it (it's his grandmother's name) but he is dead set against it.

I vetoed Cooper (for DD).  I didn't dig my kids' names being Anderson & Cooper.  Yikes.

BF vetoed Finley, Parker, Olivia, and a bunch of others. He did not like Rowan at first, but after we got some really good feedback on it (people pleaser!) and maybe also bc he was sick of thinking about it (i was too), he came around. he seems to really like it now. thank goodness.

I vetoed Devin. and Nala. i don't know how serious he was about Nala, but he seemed to like it for real. yikes.

He must be a Lion King fan! ;)

  • My name that he vetoed:  Mary Eleanor (Mary Nell).  I still love it but he hates double names.

His name that I vetoed:  Meredith.  I really like the name but I graduated from Meredith College--I'm not so gung ho over my alma mater that I'd name my kid after it.

  • I had Rowan (for a girl) on my top list and DH vetoed it. Any boy or unisex names for girls he vetoed. He wanted Sophia and I vetoed it because it's in the top 10. We finally agreed on Belle....that being if we have a girl!
  • He vetoed just about every name!  I specifically remembering him vetoing Noah and Dylan for boys, and Elisabeth for girls. He hates almost every girl name though, so he vetoed all of them except the one he chose for any future DD we might have.

DH vetoed my top choice of Charlotte.  I said no to his favourite, Catherine (which is a name I really DO love, but I know too many Catherines that I just don't like - I hate bad associations)

  • Mine: Lucinda and Augustus (He's coming around to Gus though?yes!)

His: Chelsea (This may come from his love of Chelsea Handler) and Collin (nixed only because our last name starts with "Col..." - otherwise, it's a great name).

I'm confused by your first statement. We chose together, too. but there were ideas that each of us brought to the table that the other one didn't like. Thats part of the discussion/choosing process.

  • My top name was Henry.

    His top name was Trey.

I vetoed: Jersey (no, seriously), Toby, Tatum, Nico.I don't really like his other names much either, but they're not as bad (Micah, Landry, Avery). As much as I would love a girl, I kinda hope we have a boy because this girl name stuff is just drama!

  • He vetoed Annie and I gave Kyle the boot.
