I have heard women complain they constantly have a stuffy nose while pg. Mine isn't stuffy, just more snotty. In fact I feel like I can never clear my throat either and I'm always blowing my nose. Is this just some freak thing? Please tell me I'm normal haha!
Re: Snotty anyone?
This is also making my asthma worse, for anyone else who may be experiencing this. I had tried to go a long time w/o taking Mucinex but I cannot breathe with all the thick mucus (yuck). And yes, I've been to my specialist to check for other causes and any infections.
I've read that pregnant women end up stuffy and with little nose bleeds often.
I'm in the same boat as you though. I had a cold 3 weeks ago but still get a runny nose and stuff in the throat all day. I don't feel sick at all though. Not ever stuffy, but a tiny blood in the tissue once in a great while.
We have a built in humidifier on our furnace that might be helping keep me from dryness. I guess I don't know which is worse?

This. I'm always blowing my nose and when I do it in the morning it can be a little bloody. Also, I've managed to pop my right ear while doing it. It is the most annoying thing ever. Usually it gets better in the middle of the day and it's been that way with the exception of today. It's driving me insane!
Ditto. DH hates the mornings because I'll blow my nose (can't breathe) and then I need to clear my throat because it's draining in the back of my sinuses. He always tells me how gross it is and I keep telling him "I can't breathe. This is what I have to do so I can breathe. If you don't like it, get ear plugs. I'm not doing this to piss you off!!!"
Ah yes... and this too... Fricking snotty but crusty all at the same time. So sexy!!
And now i need to blow my nose.
All of the above!
I've had some HORRIBLE post nasal drip too. I have 3 boxes of Puffs in various places through out the house. I also have to use my Sinus Rinse (Neti Pot) every morning. If I don't I end up gagging on it and throw up.
I've had trouble getting a lot of fluids (because of m/s). But if my body take all the fluid it's sending to my sinuses and put it in my gut, I could probably solve my constipation problems, haha. Sorry that's probably TMI when we started on the topic of snot.
