Leaky diapers?

My LO weighs 13 lbs and I have her in size 2 Pampers.  The size 1's seemed too tight, but the size 2's seem to fit ok.  I have to pull the tabs till they just about meet, but they don't seem loose.

However, when I pick her up, her clothes are damp around her butt.  I thought it might just be sweat, but it does smell like pee.  Anyone else having this issue?  What can I do to solve this?

    I had that problem with my DS in the beginning my doc reccommened changing brands so i tried Huggies little movers and they work great. No leaking at all. I also have to pull the tabs where they almost touch cause my son is so little.

    I was going to write the same thing as you did except my dd weighs 13.5lbs. I just put her in pampers 2 this weekend.  I am curious what others say.

    pampers offers size 1-2... I havent used them so I don't know how much of a difference there is...but it's worth a shot if you feel like LO is between sizes

    Make sure the "ruffles" are out around the legs. If they're tucked into the diaper, they spring a lot more leaks! I'd also recommend Huggies...We've decided Pampers should actually be called Pee-throughs...

    i tried the 1-2 also. they seem just as small as the 1

    Thanks for the replies!  I do pull out the ruffles - she's been in Pampers for the past 10 weeks and I feel like all of a sudden she is leaky. 

    I do have a pack or two of Huggies, so I'm going to try those and see if they are better for right now.  I feel like the Huggies have a slimmer fit, so maybe those will work better!
