Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Baby has cold symptoms low fever -- call Dr? Bring to a party?

DD has a wet sounding cough, runny nose (clear mucous), low fever (100.7 last night, 100 this morning), and had trouble sleeping.  But she is smiley and in a good mood otherwise.  I will definitely call the pedi tomorrow.  Would you call today?  Would you bring her to a party today?  Thanks!  This is her first cold (we are lucky!) so I am clueless!

  • i would call, just because the fever and poor sleeping could = ear infection. but if she's happy and stuff, hopefully it's just a cold!! are there going to be other babies at the party? if so, i'd stay home. if it's adults, i would probably still go, but just not let everyone hold her. good luck :)

  • I personally wouldn't call for that low of  a fever unless it lasted a few days.
  • I would wait to call the Dr tomorrow. I would only bring her to a party if her temperature come back down or if she takes a good long nap and was rested. I wouldn't want to be at a party with a fussy baby, and I think if my DD were slightly sick and I brought her to a place with a lot of stimulation she would be fussy for sure. She was around Christmas time.

  • Hope your LO is feeling better!  I saw you are from Baltimore so I assuming you were going to a playoff party!  GO RAVENS!  :)

If you weren't then ignore my post lol

  • I would wait to call until tomorrow, but I def. would not bring her to a party. frankly I think it is inconsiderate to others to bring anyone sick to an optional affair.

Hope she feels better soon. GL
