BFN :(

I tested today and got a BFN....this is the 3rd cycle of us TTC.  I tried really hard this time to not get my hopes up, but it's impossible and so I have shed a few tears today.

I'm 37 yo and my DH is 35.  (and new to the board) I have a ten yo son from a previous marriage, my DH considers him his son and DS is calling DH Dad....and yet in spite of all of this hapiness in our life I feel like something is missing...I want so desperately to have a child with my DH.

I can't get in to see an OB for another month and a half and so another cycle will go by yet. 

Sorry just sad today, and needing to write it down.

    Welcome to the board. I am sorry for your BFN today. I tested today too and got the same result. I've been crying on and off all day. I'm 38 and my DH is 37. He has a son but I am trying for my first. I hope next cycle is your cycle (and mine too)!

    I know how heartbreaking the BFN is. Stay positive! It took me 5 cycles to conceive DD. Are you charting? I found that was helpful in figuring out my cycles. Good luck to you!

    I'm so sorry about the BFN.  I know how much that sucks.  I have also had months where I've told myself I'm not getting my hopes up, yet it never fails to hurt when I get nothing.  Let yourself be sad and then get ready to try again.

    I am sorry =(  I also tested to a BFN today, and I know how you feel.  Ditto what pp said about charting if you have not started already.  GL to you.
