I've had non-stop m/s for at least a month. I throw up about 3 times a day. I cant eat, I have no energy, I'm already 14 weeks and I've had this since around 11 weeks. I've tried sea-bands, nausea medicine (maalox), ginger-ale and eating small meals here and there. It has gotten so bad that my throat always has a burning feeling. I think I tore up my esophogas. ![]()
The other day I threw up so bad that my stomach had spasims (sp?) for about 10 mins after. I dont know what else to do for it but my baby is not getting what it needs with as much as Im getting sick.
Please let me know any and all tips you have for this because I dont know what else to do for it
Re: Morning Sickness, help!! repost 2nd tri.
Go to Planned Parenthood
They do prenatal care on a sliding fee basis (usually free or very low cost) and should be able to write you a prescription. If they can't help you, they should know of resources in your area that can help
GL and I hope you feel better soon
You should see your MD, but, I ate sour candy, sour patch kids and that helped a bit as well as fresh cut watermelon. Hope you feel better soon.
Oh sweetie I've been suffering through the same since week 6. Been on Zofran since then. Have you talked to your Dr?
For me, it helped to eat carbs. Not the healthiest but I've tried them all: sea bands, ginger teas, cookies, candies, natal pops, water in between meals vs WITH your meals, sucking on lemons and other citrus, taking prenatals at night vs daytime, saltine crackers, switching to natural toothpaste. Sigh. Unfortunately still suffering from it and I'm almost in my 19weeks.
The one thing my colleague, a dietitian, suggested that I didn't try is Hydrochloric supplements. Google it if you're interested. Her theory is that because a pregnant woman's digestion is very slow, you get this "back up" and build up in your stomach that causes upset stomach. She said the hydrochloric acid will help with faster digestion but somehow already suffering from some heartburn, that doesn't make much sense to me. I'm already having to take tums for the heartburn because of the extra acid. I don't know how adding hydrochloric acid is going to help my case.
The good news is I believe the energy comes back around 16 weeks, at least for me it did and the constant nausea and vomiting becomes a bit more tolerable. It's still icky I know but hang in there. Let's hope it gets better for us soon.
