My friend is devastated. They just came to take the baby away.

    Oh my gosh.

    I am so sorry.  I know first-hand how hard it is to give up a baby, but you really can't let emotion get in the way of doing what's best for the child.  Oh my gosh.  How awful.  My sincerest condolences to your friend...

    Yes. More than a year ago. I don't know how far it got last time. I feel like the adoption counselors were way too optimistic about the adoption going through this time. I just have a pit in my stomach thinking about how much pain they must be in right now.

    I'm so terribly sorry.   My friend who adopted her daughter last year was terrified about this.

    My friend too.  This was her biggest fear and it consumed her at times.  Luckily my friend's baby's birth mom never looked back after delivering.

    That is heartbreaking news. There is too much of this type of thing that goes along with the process. The system works beautifully most of the time, but when it doesn't... just awful.

    That's just awful.  I'm sure they were prepared for it happening but it still doesn't make it any easier.

    That's so so sad. I can't even imagine the pain. My heart goes out to your friend and I hope that baby does OK with his birth parents, poor little one, I feel sorry for him/her too.
    Me: 44 DH: 42. DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09. TTC since then with no luck or ART. Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.

    I'm so sorry to hear this.  My T & Ps to the family and hope that the little one that is intended for them comes soon.  My heart just breaks for them.....
