So...my latest obsession...the going home outfit! For those who are team green, or BTDT moms who have been team green, did you buy a gender neutral outfit? Or, did you buy one girl and one boy outfit?
I'm just not finding much that's gender neutral that I find to be all that cute or special. So, I'm thinking about going with an outfit for each. Hmmm...
Re: Team Greeners - going home outfit
We are team green and I have been thinking about this too. I'm still not sure but I have came up with 2 ideas.
1. buy a neutral outfit (thinking cream color) and then buy a girl bib and boy bib and use which ever bib is needed. And return the other one.
2. Buy both a girl and boy outfit. I'm thinking more towards #1 only because bibs are much cheaper. And it would be a every easy return.
All of our newborn clothes are gender-neutral. I love the greens and yellows, so I don't mind!
I am thinking that I may buy a neutral outfit and a blue/pink blanket or hat because I definitely want to have all clothing washed in dreft ahead of time. I saw really cute and cuddly soft onesies and sleepers that were cream recently. I also think that a simple outfit will be easier to deal with.
With #1 we were Team Green also and I bought one of each and plan on doing the same thing this time around.
FYI - Kohl's has a great return policy and as long as you keep the receipt they will always take it back. There is no 30, 45, 90 day limit!
I bought a cute little polka dot outfit in oranges, greens, yellows, and browns...it's just a onesie with a little cap, and thought I would use that. However, my mom has informed me that once she knows the sex of the baby, she is leaving the hospital and going shopping, so I'm sure she will pick something out.
I just want baby and I to be comfy, and not necessarily have a little outfit. I'm thinking a onesie with a receiving blanket over him or her. I'm planning on just wearing yoga pants and a tank with maybe a cardigan over it (not that anyone asked what MOM was wearing to go home, but thought I'd throw that in there).
I am thinking of doing a Cubs outfit (because it will be around the beginning of MLB) and then bring a gender specific bib or something like that.
