and raise you my 20 cm hernia.
I got diagnosed today and referred directly to a surgeon. I was motivated by the fact that I tried to get personal training at the gym and they wouldn't work out with me bc they were worried about the liability so I went to the dr. Basically this thing could cause some big problems. I am going to try pilates but the dr thinks any kind of physiotherapy is a long shot. I need surgeon recs if you have them. Thanks!
Re: I'll see your muffin top
sounds like a tummy tuck to me. i would love a hernia for this reason!
flame away
Its all fun and games until your bowel turns gangrenous, which is the worst case scenario. I am hoping to avoid surgery at least until I am done BFing Isaac, but even then, as you know recovery from abdominal surgery is no picnic with toddlers.
A couple of years ago, DH had surgery for an umbilical hernia from Dr. Luke.

He literally came home after the surgery and promptly ate doritos and drank a coke - lol. And he was fine.
Dr. Luke removed my gallbladder and I was very happy with that practice. It was supposed to be Dr. Garcha, who I liked as well, but I ended up needing it removed a few days earlier and Dr. Luke was on call.
The nest double posting is on my last nerve.
However this hernia/tummy tuck option has me pondering. Off to see how i can give myself a hernia today.
