I have been searching Ebay for some deals on CD since I have two to diaper and I need it to be affordable since I am a SAHM. I came across quite a few generic CD for pretty cheap. Is there any difference really in buying name brand, or are the generic ones just as good? I just can't fathom spending $15-20 on one diaper!

Re: Generic Vs. Name Brand CD
What brands were you looking at?
Really, it comes down to resale value. Generics/no names you won't be able to sell at all, while "name brands" you'll be able to sell for at least half the value if they're in good condition.
I know that I have said this rant before on this board, but will tell my lovely generic CD story again. I promised the company that I would share my negative reviews any chance that I could get on the internet when they stopped answering my emails completely about replacement or even just sending me replacement elastic and velcro.
I bought a few 'Nubunz' diapers off of their website (they also sell on Ebay). They worked great and I thought that they were very similar to BGs. It only took a few washes until the inside of the diaper pilled. I bought a few more after about a month. Shortly after receiving the new ones, they all began to go to crap. The PUL delaminated on about 5 total (was able to get a replacement for 3). Since then all of my velcro version diapers no longer function as the velcro literally does not stick. At all. Two of the diapers had the elastic become completely all stretched out. Out of probably 13 diapers that I purchased from this company, only about 3 are still in my rotation, and that is only because I replaced the velcro with a bumgenius repair kit. I have had them since July and all of this happened by October and the company has dropped all contact with me. They were only $8 apiece, but I really wish I would have just spent $4 more per diaper and bought a seconds bumgenius. In fact, the used BG that I have ($2-$5/dipe) are all in better quality.
We have, on the other hand, had a great experience using KaWaii. They are not my favorite, but their quality has held up over the months we have had them. I love a few of the styles, but am not a fan of the others.
Sorry for the long response. Overall, I would personally never risk it again.

Thank you so much for your responses! I think I am just going to suck it up and buy name brand. I would much rather pay more money and have them last then have them fall apart on me.
So my next question is, other than Kawaii, should I go with Fuzzi Bunz or BGs?
I'd buy one or two of each and then go from there. FBs leak for me every single time I try to use them, and I love my BGs. There are people out there that are just the opposite of me.
