How are they different from regular pajamas? I'm guessing I won't be big enough to really need them until the spring when I'd be wearing shorts . . . will DH's boxers suffice?
I got a pair from Motherhood for Christmas. They're my pre-pregnancy size but I am much more comfortable in them than my regular ones. I don't think they'd fit over a belly, but rather under it, so they are not huge.
To be honest, I don't know. I've always thought they were just a sham to gain money off of pregnant women. I didn't have any with DS. Just find a pair of bottoms that are comfortable and go with it. I also wore DH's boxers.
I don't think they are at all necessary. Just get a pair of low rise sweatpants or yoga pants and for the spring/summer shorts/capris. I never bought any with DS. Sweatpants stretch

Thanks ladies! I was looking at a pair last night in Kohls and couldn't figure out how they were different than what I have. Seems like an attempt to get more money out of us pregnant ladies!
I hit the target clearance section when I was pregnant with DD and bought a lot of huge nightgowns for the summer months, cause they feel so much cooler at night when you are so hot. I never bought maternity pajamas. Waste of money, same with sweat pants, you can wear anything like that under your belly. My only issue at times is my hips and butt grow so I need bigger sizes..

Re: Maternity Pajama Pants?
Pj pants and other athletic type stuff was the one thing I could wear in a regular version all through my first pregnancy!
So far so good this time too!
If nothing else get some $5.00 clearance rack pjs at Target in a couple sizes up. Much cheaper.
