7 weeks today(!) and no u/s yet

hey ladies,

Is anyone else having to wait until 10 or 11 weeks for their ultrasound? I am little frustrated, but thoroughly enjoying seeing everyone elses u/s pics!!

Just wanted to know if I am the only one in this boat!

With this pregnancy I'll be about 7 1/2 weeks for my first U/S but my last pregnancy with DD I was 10 1/2 weeks before my first U/S. It was great because we could see all her body parts formed already and she was even dancing on the screen for us (I had OJ and a cookie beforehand). I wanted to push this one back a bit so we could see more like last time but I guess they wanted to see me earlier. Your patiene will be rewarded!

I won't have my first u/s until 11 or 12 weeks either. I've got my first appt coming up on Monday, but that's just my paperwork, blood test, etc appt.

I'm going to a doctor that's in the same town as my in-laws, but 83 miles from where I live. Sounds crazy, I know, but I've delivered with them before & the nearest ob to where I live is 35 miles away anyhow, so it's not a huge deal for me to drive the extra 50 miles. That's what we get for living in bfe lol

I have my first appointment next week, so I'm not sure when I'll have one. I'm really hoping they'll want to give me one to confirm how far I am or something. I'm so anxious to see my little one!

I had my u/s at 10 weeks, 1 day. It seems pretty normal.

I am in the same situation ... I am 7 weeks tomorrow (think due Aug 25) and i don't even have an appointment yet. I go next monday to my regular doc then we set up an appointment so prob guessing it will be 3 more weeks so I'll be between 10 or 11 weeks ... i heard that is normal for most places if you had no previous problems in the past .... my friend just advised that she also had her first ultra sound at 11 weeks and it turned out really good so the only hope i have is the longer i wait the better pic it will be and be able to make out our baby rather than blob ... even though i'd love that blob too lol

My first apt is tomorrow and i will be 10 weeks and I'm not even sure that there will be an ultrasound. I just really want to hear the heartbeat.

I won't have an ultrasound until 18-20 weeks. I am fine with that. It means that my pregnancy is going well. We will hopefully hear the heartbeat at my appointment next week.

We dont have an u/s until our 2nd appt--our first is when we are a day shy of 9 weeks, and then the 2nd appt will be a few weeks after that. I'm hoping I can persuade him to do one at my first though

I had mine at 8.5 weeks at my first appt. It's not unusual to have them at 10 weeks.

No, you're not the only one. I'm not getting my first ultrasound until I'm 9.5 weeks.

I wasn't supposed to get one until either the 12w NT scan (if I opted for it) then the 20w anatomy scan. I had one on Monday due to red bleeding and sharp cramping.

Be thankful you are progressing fine and don't need an early u/s.

Yes I don't have my first U/S until the 17th - I'll be 10 weeks and 3 days. It is frustrating because I want to know that everything is alright and lots of people seem to already have had U/S

My doc does an ultrasound at 9 weeks. Mine is the day before I turn 10 weeks. I am always surprised when people with normal pregnancies are having ultrasounds at 6 weeks. Every doc is different. I have friend that is a NP with and OB and she thinks it's ridiculous that people have an ultra sound before 20 weeks. She's old school! I would go nuts waiting 20 weeks. To think, my mom didn't have ultrasounds with all 4 of her kids back in the day!

Congrats to 7 weeks! I have an appt next week but not sure if I'll get an ultrasound. I've been getting bloodwork done b/c of a previous m/c and I'd like an ultrasound for peace of mind. I'll be okay if I have to wait. As long as the bloodwork stays good I won't worry.

I know we get to hear the h/b on Feb. 3 at 10-11 weeks - I don't know if we'll get u/s pics or anything. I'm getting more and more impatient because I just want to know everything is ok in there!

I am 7 weeks today Smile

My first u/s is next Thursday.. but the only reason he is doing it so early is because I had a chemical pregnancy a couple of months ago so he wants to make sure everything looks good.

I am having my first appointment tommorow and they just told me that they are going to give me a script for blood work and an ultrasound. I'm assuming it's a military thing and then I can just schedule it for whenever.
