F/U to needing positive thoughts and prayers...sadly leaving you guys

I don't know how else to say this but things went horribly today at my u/s. The found a sac and a yolk sac and possibly a fetal pole but that's it. there is absolutely no way I could be off by that much as my husband and I put ourselves on pelvic rest after we found out we were pregnant due to our past history of miscarriages. We are hurting so very badly right now. I just don't know how I can go through this again. The doctors don't have any answers for me and have no clue why my body keeps holding on to these embryos even though they are not viable. They will be sending us both for testing. For now just tears and wishing I had family and friends close by. This just totally sucks...

I wish you all a very happy and healthy 9 months and pray none of you have to go through this...ever. I hope to return to these boards again soon

I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through. Speaking from experience, I truly understand how difficult this is and I will be praying for you and your DH. I put off going to an RE for quite awhile because I kept thinking my regular OB could handle everything. But after my last loss I decided to call an RE. The doc called me back and spoke to me on the phone for half and hour and now here I am 8 1/2 weeks pregnant, saw the heartbeat and we never before made it to that point in pregnancy. I know it's a bit frightening to be seeing a specialist, but I hope you find a good doc that can get you the answers you need. Not knowing what's going on is so frustrating. My heart goes out to you and your DH and I wish you the best of luck in your testing and future pregnancies. I have faith that when someone has it in their heart to have a family God will make it possible one way or another.

I hope the fertility testing brings you much needed answers. You should definitely be monitored much more frequently and earlier next time. Also, if I may suggest, a D&C is very "easy" and not painful at all, plus it can be scheduled right away - no waiting for your body to naturally miscarry. I've heard natural miscarriages are pretty painful and I can't imagine waiting around for it to happen. Just my 2 cents as I have had a loss and D&C before. Again I am sorry and best of luck to you.
