I have no idea where to start. We saw too many different kinds at BRU. I think we're looking for something light. Care to share which one you're getting???

Ya april i agree all i heard about was how heavy they are and controlling wasnt as easy. Plus now with the way car seats fit into most strollers we found one that was only 9lbs and with the car seat its about 17! Where as the travel systems were closer to 30!
DH and I are opting for the snugride infant car seat and the infant car seat frame....mostly based on recommendations for our lifestyle in the Baby Bargains book. This is a really light weight option that will be easy for me to load and unload on my own.
We are also planning on getting this second light weight stroller that is okay for infants and up for just random walks around the neighborhood or days at the theme parks and what not where we'll be doing a lot of walking and don't want the baby confined to a car seat all day.
I want this. I don't know which car seat I want yet. It is like a car seat base stroller, the seat comes off so a car seat snaps on. I like it because it is light weight.
More than likely, we are getting a Chicco Key Fit 30 and getting the add on for the Baby Jogger City Mini. We played around with the City Mini a few weeks ago and loved how light it was and easy to collapse. I eliminated travel systems after reading Baby Bargains. Also, we need something that collapses nicely and compactly as we don't have a large trunk.

For the PP asking about twins, check out the Baby Jogger City Select or Britax B-Ready. I REALLY wanted the City Select but it didn't fit into my trunk. I saw them on a good sale today on BBB.
Personally, we will be getting a Bob Revolution or BJ City Elite (jogger style) for home and a City Mini for the car. Sadly, for our lifestyle (and my small car) there isn't a single stroller that will meet our needs.

This is the system we picked out. It comes in different colors (shown on evenflo website) and I felt it handled really well in the store. I like the one hand set-up/collapse and one hand steering.
Sigh. I've considered this also. Especially because I'm so petite. I'm afraid the whole travel system will be heavier than me. OK, so not possible but I'm not the strongest person out there.
But aren't the strollers that comes with the travel system ones you can also use into toddlerhood? It seems like a waste getting a simple stroller base fo first 5 months then later on get another one for toddlerhood when you can just get a travel system you can use into toddler hood. No? Feel free to enlighten me I'm so new to this.

We have the Chicco KeyFit 30 in the Cubes print for DS and then the Chicco umbrella stroller for shorter trips. We love it. We plan on using the carseat for DS#2 and keeping DS#1 in the stroller and wearing DS#2 for walks/trips to the mall. Eventually, we will get a double stroller, but I have no clue what to get.
I think I'm going to just get the baby snap and go stroller frame and a lightweight stroller. Most babies can sit in a lightweight stroller at around 6 months, correct?
We just got the Graco Metrolite, we tested it a bunch in the store and liked and my cousin who has 3 small kids has one and says it is great. It only weights 17lbs (I can lift it with one hand) and is super easy to fold and unfold. It also stands up by itself while folded and the lock is right at the top, so no bending over get it out and setup. We will then get the Snugride 35 to go with it.
We also happened to find it for half at BRU this weekend which really sealed the deal for us.
We have the Chicco travel system that a couple of other people posted they were getting. We used it for DS and we're going to use it again, we really liked it although we didn't use the stroller by itself much once DS was out of the infant seat.
Anyone see this stroller at BRU? We didn't, but wanted to check it out. This is the one friend recommended. Weighs 26lbs and max child weight is 50lbs. Sounds good, right?
OMG! I feel like a bad mother. I have not looked into strollers. We already bought her crib, but have not looked at anything else.

I have narrowed it down online to the Chicco Cortina system with the Keyfit car seat or the Graco Metrolite with the SnugRide. I have to play around with each of them in the store first and see which is easier to collapse and maneuver.
Don't get a travel system!!!! Get a decent carseat that fits into the snap n go frame. Best thing ever. Then get a good stroller like a BOB or a City Mini for when baby is around six months old and no longer fits in the carseat. NO TRAVEL SYSTEMS!!!!!!!
This. Or as my girlfriend said, Friends don't let friends purchase a travel system.
Bast strollers like a snap n go or whatever the others are called are always on Craigslist for about 10-20 bucks. Easy to throw in your car for a a trip to the grocery store etc. We'll have a base, and as you know from other stroller posts I am debating between a bugaboo, uppababy and a German stroller.
We are also going to be getting the Chicco Cortina Keyfit 30 Travel system. We saw it at baby depot and spent a good 20 minutes with it. Folding it up, carrying around the car seat (with some sheets in it to act as baby weight) and I am very sold on this product. We looked at some Graco traveling system and we didn't like how it felt breakable to us. We are planning on getting the Adventure color.

I wish I could find a travel system for a double stroller, I'm jealous of all of you. lol
I would recommend the Kolcraft Contours Tandem II Stroller. You can get an extra carseat adapter to accomodate 2 carseats and it will work with most models. You simply take the seats off (very easy to do) and replace with the carseats. Plus, when they get older and you want to use the seats they can turn and face each other to keep each other occupied. Just a thought I am getting this stroller for the new LO and DS to use when we go out and about. HTH.

We are likely getting the UPPAbaby Vista stroller and possibly a car seat that is compatible with it. I may be the only crazy one thinking of getting a car seat that stays in the car (and using the bassinet feature of the UBV) and just putting the baby in and out of the car seat. Still thinking on that though.

we got a basic Graco travel system. It is very light and easy to fold and get into my tiny car's trunk. We will be getting a graco double stroller this time, which will hold the old snugride from the previous graco. Simple for us.

At six months I'd expect the baby to still fit in his/her carseat, right?
So something like the BOB or the City Mini, I will not need to have a carseat, is that what it is?

We are getting the Chicco KeyFit 30 in the Cubes print. It was rated really high in Consumer Reports and in the Baby Bargins book.

We already went and checked it out we loved it.
How are you guys deciding on your travel system? A friend said she loves hers because it's very light, she's gone to travel around with it.
I think it would be really nice to have a light system too. But is there anything else I should consider?
I'm looking at this one. We saw this at BRU and seems really nice.

Just Say No to travel systems. They are too heavy, big and not very nimble.
My advice is to get a simple stroller base for the first 5 months, then get a nicer stroller, like the City Mini or BOB to use into toddlerhood:

Wha???? Where does it say that. It certainly felt the lightest when we tried it.
51lbs is more than half my weight prepregnancy!! lol Holy molly!

It says that's the shipping weight on Amazon. Product weight is 45 pounds.
Hmm. Maybe it felt lite because it really just rolled it around and lifted a corner of it. lol
DH agrees it was the lightest one there though. Oh well. I'm not set on it yet. I'm still looking.
We've been looking at these:

but it only comes as a stroller and a car seat, not as the whole system. I guess the Chicco seems to be pretty popular around here.
