Baby Moon! - Who is going on one? When/Where? poll

I think my OB said no air travel after 32 wks(mid may for me). Me & my BF haven't talked about a vacay in a while but I SOO need one. And he just commented earlier about him wanting one too. So.... Let me live through some of you!

Where are you going? When? Just you and DH or will it be a family thing? Other LOs ? InLaws?

If its a tropical place, how will you deal with your Bump in a bathing suit? Bare it All Bikini? Tankini? One piece?

We're thinking of going on one in March time frame...no idea where yet. Somewhere warm and tropical like though.

It will be a baby moon/anniversary trip/birthday trips for both of us.

Thinking Aruba again (went last yr), maybe South Beach, maybe Puerto Rico.

DH and I wont be going on a babymoon. I just rather go somewhere when I am not pregnant so that I can feel comfortable in my bathing suit and eat/drink anything that I want. We do plan to take a "late babymoon" a little over a year after LO is born and go down to Cabo or something.

No true baby moon. I'm going to CT for my SIL's shower in late March. DH probably won't come. We are planning on going to Atlanta sometime before late April to visit with B&SIL.

I'd love to go to somewhere tropical, but it's just not possible.

So funny - I was thinking March would be perfect too! Aruba sounds amazing, Ive never been! We stayed at El Conquistador in Puerto Rico, It was BEAUTIFUL! (its in Fajardo, so its pretty secluded & you never have to leave the resort * private island) The El San Juan is very nice too and since its IN san juan, there's more Happening around there.

My H can't take any leave this year (except when the baby comes) so no baby moon for us. I plan to fly to our hometown for a week this Spring to visit family and maybe have a baby shower.

It's not really a baby moon I guess, but it kind of is. It's our 5 year wedding anniversary in June and since I can't travel in June, we are going to Paris and Belgium in April. We are taking DS so it's a family vacation. I guess it's a baby moon in the sense that we know we will not be able to travel that far for at least a few years. DS is great traveling now, but it took quite a few vacations for him to get to that point! We will probably go someplace warm like the caribbean when LO is a year or so.

Well we're getting married in March, so we're going on our Honeymoon then. Guess it can be considered a Baby Moon too We're going to Maui for 10 days, I'm super excited, we've needed a vacation for a long time.

I plan on just wearing a bikini on the beach. I'm hoping I still fit into the ones I have, but since my boobs have grown like a cup size I doubt it. Oh well, good excuse to buy new ones. I'm a swimsuit whore and love any excuse to buy them

We are going to Cabo in March, just the two of us. I'll be 22 1/2 weeks. I'm prob gonna wear a tankini fm my prev pregnancy. We are excited, but have never left our 3 year old that long. She should do great though!

We're taking our 'babymoon' in March. We went on a cruise last year in March and loved the fact that it was so relaxing. No living out of a suitcase. It allowed us to see a bunch of different places, but still have the luxury of excellent dining, service, entertainmnt, etc. So, this year we're doing the same and going on a cruise for a week. Fly to San Juan, and then cruise to St. Thomas, Dominica, Grenada, Cayman Islands, Aruba, and back to San Juan to fly home. Since I'm PG, I have to get a letter from my doc saying that I'm physically fit, not a high risk pregnancy, and what my due date is. Cruise lines don't allow women on board if they're past 24 weeks, as most ships aren't equipped with necessary medical equipment for dealing with pregnancy.

Right now it's just us, but we've told some friends so they may join. Right now, since I barely have a bump at all, I'm not really conscious of it. Not sure how I will be then....probably will do a Tankini.

I'd really like to do a babymoon. We kind of took one with DS, but it was a trip with friends to Florida at 33w. I rocked out the bikini and am so glad I did.

If we do one this time, we'll leave DS with family and maybe go to a B&B. We'll stay within the state.

We are going in early March, ESPN has this thing called the Weekend at Disney so we are going to go to that. My H is a huge sports fan and I get all caught up in the Disney magic so it is a win/win trip!

We are going to Stowe VT for "Snowfest pp 2011" in March. DH and his oldest friend have a week and a half between birthdays and it is celebrated at some snow resort, last year was Lake Tahoe, the year prior was in Virginia. This year is later though due to buddy being deployed, But we will be asking him and his wife to be the Godparents this trip.

We're thinking of going to Mexico/Cuba/Somewhere tropical in March-ish. We travel somewhere hot every year and weren't planning on going anywhere, but DH decided we need our "one last" trip before babe arrives.

My DH and I do lots of little trips to the surrounding states and such, however we just took a week and went to the Bahamas...I wouldn't recommend Nassau but it was nice to sleep so much!!!

I'm hoping for a b&b sometime in Early June. Somewhere close but we have the luxury of being by lake michigan. DH doesn't have vacation days right now so it will be a friday night until a sunday afternoon but I still am going to try to plan something.

Aruba is a really nice, friendly, quiet island.

We stayed at the Hyatt in Aruba and I highly recommend it.

We are going to Maui and Disneyland in February. Taking the 3 year old and staying in a condo in Maui with my inlaws so not so much a "babymoon" just a family vacation while I'm KU. We are doing Disneyland as a way to break up the time change shift from Hawaii to EST. I need to try on my 2 piece tankini and my maternity tankini and see which will fit. I saw Target had maternity suits out the other day (the only thing mine had I'd wear). Also need to check DDs bathing suits. I stocked her up on summer stuff the end of last summer.

We are taking dd for a long weekend in June. We went last year and she had such a great time, we promised to take her back this year. DH and I have gone many times before dd. It's a very touristy lake community about 2.5 hrs drive from our house. The hotel we stay at is on the lake and I will be in a 1 piece.

My CNM said I could fly up to 36 weeks.

We have a few vacations planned (as well as some work trips).

Our biggest vacation is a 10-day cruise later this month (just the two of us). We're also going to NYC for 5 nights with BIL/SIL in March and have a quick weekend to Chicago planned as well.

I may book one more long weekend trip in April, not sure yet.

I definitely plan on wearing my bikinis on my cruise, I'm just barely showing. Not sure about later in the pregnancy-- I'll see how I feel.

Well, not really a babymoon...but DH and I are going to Washington state to visit SIL (who is also pregnant!)and her DH. We are planning on moving there in a year or so and we want to check out the area! We might go on a vacation after LO is born instead of one while I'm huge. : )

Nope, I want all the vacation days my DH gets saved for when the baby comes. He was with me for 2 weeks when DD was born and I was so glad to have him home during that time. I definitely wouldn't want his vacation time used any other way this time especially with 2 under 2.

We are going to Puerto Rico at the end of February/early March. I don't think I would call it a babymoon, though. My mom and I are from Puerto Rico and we are taking DH and my sister (given up for adoption by my mom) to Puerto Rico to see where we are from.

I guess we're taking several? Haha!

We're taking DD to Great Wolf Lodge (it's a huge indoor water park) at the end of January as a treat.

In February, we're going up north to go skiing (I am not, but DD has been signed up for a weekend ski adventure). I plan on sitting in the spa

In May, we booked a weekend on Mackinaw Island (it's a quaint little island with no cars allowed) for just DH and I. I'm sure it'll be our last weekend alone together for awhile!

I can't wait!!!

Since I technically don't have maternity leave (have to use PTO) we won't be taking a traditional Baby Moon. I have a sales convention in Chicago the first week of May. We may head out there together and spend a couple of extra days while.

I want J to take every second of vacation time he gets for when baby & I come home from the hospital. Ill need help transitioning Brianna & Camden into having a baby in the house.

We will take a weekend together in June though for our anniversary. No kids and somewhere close because Ill be miserable by then.

We are going skiing twice (Park City and Keystone)... but I will be on snow shoes.

I suggested something like Turks and Caicos or St. Croix/St. Johns but the DH would prefer to go to Europe. We are leaning toward Switzerland. However, I might decide to "phone it in" and go for the south of France, Spain, or London... Since I have been to those places a ton, it would be a lot easier on me (the vacation planner).

I am not too worried about taking a baby moon. If we can't fit it in we will just take the little one with us! I took my first trip abroad at a couple months so hopefully we can handle that too. Smile

DH changed his mind about going on a babymoon, so now we only have short weekend trips left before the LO is born. We are heading to Reno, NV for a wedding this weekend and then we will spend 4 days in NYC in March to hang out with friends. If I can find a great deal I might be able to convince him that we should go. ::crosses fingers::

We had planned on Mexico or somewhere warm, but now I'm thinking somewhere cheaper.. like a long weekend trip within our province. It's a 6-7 hour drive so it's far enough from home to still be a getaway, and really scenic with lots of shopping.
