Infant classes

in Babies: 6 - 9 Months
Has anyone taken mommy & me classes at either gymboree or my gym & would you recommend them?  I really want to get DS signed up, but can't decide who to go with!  TIA

    I love Gymboree. We have been going since Matthew was 5 months old. He has a good time. I've learned ways to help him learn to crawl and ways to entertain him.

    DS and I are taking a class at My Gym. It's fun for DS b/c he's one of the older kids in the class and more mobile than the 2-3 months old LOs. He also just loves hanging around other LOs and interacting with people. I've never been to a Gymboree class.

    I have a friend who uses My Gym and really loves it. I have no personal experience but she highly recommended it to me.

    Most of the  baby gyms offer a free class. So you should try out all the ones in your area and find the one you like best. We are probably going to join Gymboree b/c it is 5 minutes away and the closest. There are a few others in the area, but further away, so I know we won't get there as often.

    I found that all the mommy & me classes around here let you do one free trial class to see how you like it. Maybe call around and see if your area offers this! I'm going to take DD to one free class a week this month to see which of the places we like the best! :)

    We do Kindermusik and both love it. It like mommy and me, but with music and movement, and you get cds and musical toys to play with at home as well. They are supposedly all over the country, so you should be able to find one by you - we don't have any mommy and me or gym classes here. I know our teacher offers a free class and multiple discounts as well.
