Poop starting to smell stronger?

LO's poop has always smelled very mild (he is 6 weeks old now), almost like soft pretzel dough.  The past two days, the smell has intensified. It still smells similar to the dough smell, but WAY MORE intense and noticeable. It has gone from us just noticing he needs a diaper chnage to us waving our hands and say how bad it stinks.

My diet hasnt changed. is there anything that can be causing the smell to get stronger? the smell is still the same, but just stronger and stinkier. The texture and amount of poop and color are the same as usual.

    My LO started having about 4 days between bm's and now it definitely smells stronger. It used to almost have a sweet smell (I know that sounds weird), but now it smells kind of yucky. The consistency is the same, but I think maybe having fewer bm's is causing it to be stinkier? I'm not sure.

    Their digestive system matures a lot through the first several months of life. My LO's diapers have a variety of smells - butter, vinegar, pretzels, etc. Sometimes they smell sweet, sometimes pretty bad. I don't think it's anything to worry about but it wouldn't hurt to mention it to your pedi at the next appt.
