Amazon mom?

Anybody have any experience with this?  Are the diaper prices there competitive?  So far, I think the commissary has the best price on diapers, but it's 30 - 45 minutes away depending on traffic.  If Amazon's on par, I love the idea of having them shipped free.

Re: Amazon mom?

  • I signed up for Amazon Mom.  I switched my Prime (free two-day shipping) membership over - just by ordering baby stuff I maintain my Prime status, so it was totally worth it just for that.  I haven't started hard core diaper research yet.

  • I love it.  If you do the subscribe & save (easy to cancel if you need to) and amazon mom, it's 30% off.  We were using Target up & up diapers before, and I can get Pampers baby dry for cheaper using amazon.  Plus Parents magazine sometimes has a 20% coupon for amazon diapers, which is in addition to the 30%, and then you really can't go wrong!  Also you get a free Amazon prime membership for a couple months.

Exactly this! I spend way less on diapers through amazon than even buying generic. Plus we live on the third floor and fed ex brings them up for me!

  • love, love, LOVE Amazon mom.  The subscribe and save price is cheaper than Costco, and as soon as I am running low on diapers, they arrive on my doorstep.  I order most of my baby stuff through Amazon now.  The free two day shipping is a nice perk for buying other stuff too :)

  • Amazon mom is great - the diapers are cheaper, especially if you use the 20% discount from Parenting magazine.

I live in a rural area, so it's nice not to have to run 30 minutes to the nearest shopping area for diapers.

  • Awesome!  Thanks!  I've had Amazon Prime for awhile, and I order a ton of stuff from there, so it seemed too good to be true.

  • I just signed up for it and diapers/wipes there are cheaper than buying generic Target brand or whatever if you sign up for automatic delivery... it's a 30% discount.
  • I don't currently have kids so I don't know much about the diapers in particular. I have been reading up on the program though.  It was my understanding that you get the free shipping for 2 months but that they extend it out for another month w/each $50 purchase (or something like that) for up to a year? So really, you get a year's free membership/shipping if you're buying enough items through them.  Maybe I misunderstood though?

  • We use 7th gen diapers and they are close to half the price on Amazon as they are anywhere else.
  • I agree with all the PPs - Amazon Mom is WONDERFUL! I'm constantly recommending it to my friends. With the recent magazine coupons, I have paid 50% off every box of diapers for the past six months! Also, with my second on the way, I recently did a big price comparison because I assumed that I'd really have to give up using Pampers brand wipes/diapers all the time. What I found was that no website/box store/large chain could compete with the Amazon Mom pricing for either their chain brand or for Pampers/Huggies, etc (not even the commissary - we're military, too!) - especially when you figure in automatic reordering and delivery to your door. (And even if you could pay 1-2 cents less per diaper from a box store, you'd still have to figure in driving cost/time, which would make it a wash.)

  • I get so much stuff from Amazon anyways, and now I have a Prime membership free through Srptember 2011 haha! The auto re-ordering is awesome! And you can change the frequency any time. LOVE it!
