i dont know what it is but my 5 mo. old will not sleep through the night. he falls asleep around 10pm and wakes up at 2 or 3 like clockwork. we have tried letting him CIO but he just cries louder. we give him a bottle, then he's back to sleep. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue, needing a bottle to go back to sleep, too. he will be 6 months old on the 2nd of Jan. and i'm wondering if i am just blaming myself for discontinuing bf, (because bf would have been easier than formula) or what. i hear everyone's stories about their 5 month olds sleeping through the night perfectly. maybe every baby is just different. ?
thanks for any input ![]()
Re: night time sleeping
old post...but this needs to be addressed.
This is so bad.
OP, if baby is taking that middle of the night bottle, then obviously he is hungry. Please don't start mixing your bottles with too much formula.
,,,,thats what i was thinking.. But, our WIC only gives us 7 cans/month and he eats a LOT more than that.. makes me feel just aweful for not continuing with BF..
anyways, they take away some and replace it with solids. (64/mo). do you have any tips as far as getting him used to solids? we have tried a ton of dif. ones, and he just doesn't like them
just keep offerring...
have you tried oatmeal instead of rice?
Some will say to offer veggies before fruits, but I really don't think it matters. They're going to eat what they like, as you've noticed already.
we have tried both, he likes the oatmeal more,, but barely. its almost like he doesn't like the spoon. he puts his tongue in the way and closes his mouth, as if to block it. we did try fruit first and the first time, he liked it but its almost like back tracked, and changed his mind and wanted the bottle more. should i be pushing it?
