Gas-like cramping 2 days post D&E

I'm having awful cramping, almost gas-like pains, all last night and today.  I hate that not only do I have to deal with such a sudden and unexpected loss but now I have to be in pain too :(

 How long do these continue?

    I'm so sorry. I'm having these pains too. They seem to be getting a little bit better today, but I think it's our body just trying to recover...hopefully they end soon for all of us.

    I'm so sorry for your loss Lauren and that you're going through the same thing... maybe this means we can be mommies together again though in 2011!  Sending positive thoughts your way :)

    Same to you. Well all get through this together! I see a lot of sticky babies in the future :). About the pain, has your dr given you any pain meds? My dr gave me vicodin and it's been my saving grace.

    Yes, he gave me Percocet but I haven't taken any yet (I HATE taking medicine!).  I've been okay with Advil for now, but filled the script just in case.  Have you spoken with your Dr. about when you can start trying again?

    I know what you mean. I hate taking medicine too, but this was one instance I gave in on. I hope you can manage on advil, but if you need something stronger I hope you feel comfortable taking the percocet. We had our first appointment with the dr the day after our miscarriage and he didn't want to talk with us about trying again. He said it was just too soon and we'd get to that in the future. I'm hoping at our next appt. (Wednesday) he'll feel we're at a place that we can talk about it. We plan on trying again as soon as we're given the go ahead. Are you guys planning on that too?

    Yes, we want to try again right away.  I had such a rough night last night- it was like my entire abdomen was full of gas... at one point i was doubled over in pain and couldn't stand up straight.  I have a pain close to the bottom of the left side of my ribs that feels like I either tore a muscle or am being stabbed!  I called my Dr. this morning and he wants me to monitor my temp and if things get worse or I develop a fever he wants me to come to the ER.  I just want this whole nightmare to be over with! Crying

    I have been getting gas-like pains too. And my lower abdomen muscles feel sore every time i pee. I just keep telling myself its all still healing... I don't feel like they give you enough info to know what is normal and what is not.
